The reel is small, light and inexpensive. With the quality of Shimano. You must put a wire of 0.25 gauge or less. And offset the weight of the lure with the rod. So that no wigs form on the thread. Good store, if the products have them in stock. You will receive it fast. If not, it can take up to a month. They will modify the expected delivery date. But you finally get it.

Im very fussy with my reels and at the time I brought this one I was actually after another reel that wasnt in stock . After speaking with helpful staff who picked this one out for me , I have never been happier . Such a beautiful clean smooth reel , perfect for rivers etc . Doesnt have the normal run sound most of my reels do , but this is a gorgeous reel to use , Highly recommened

I've owned the 2000 size for 18 months now and use it for light sea fishing - float and lure work. The reel is undeniably Shimano despite its budget price tag, offering smooth retrieve and reliable function of all key parts: drag, bail, handle. It won't win any beauty contests in its plain, unpainted carbon garb, but if you're tackling fish on the sub 10lb bracket like bass, pollack, codling and mackerel, you won't regret your choice or feel you haven't had value for the small amount of cash you've splashed. I have fancy reels too but it saddens me to scrape them on rocks, so often the FX will be handed the "stuntman" role and will invariably fill in admirably!

I chose the 2000 size reel for my 6 year old son, because it would be smaller than most other reels and suit his smaller hands, we fish canal style commercials so it's easily big enough for what we need. I have to say I am really impressed with it! It's very good quality, super smooth running and the drag adjustment is nicely progressive. Overall it is far nicer than my more expensive reel.
Very compact and very rigid reel. It works quietly. The brake is very precise and powerful. Thread alignment is extremely good. The quality is much higher than the price and only Shimano can do that!
Great budget reel. Shimano build quality, and performance in an affordable package. Probably the best reel available at that price point.

This is one sweet midsize reel. Extra smooth drag and effortless retrieve. I purchased one for myself and was so impressed with it when I got it that I immediately ordered a second one for my son. The price is unbelievable for what you are receiving. Highly recommend.
