As jigging poles go, this is a great long pole for the purpose. But telescoping brings into play a great convenience. Transportation of long poles are a bit cumbersome. It took a good bit of research to understand what I was purchasing and was a bit tedious but I muddled through it and I made a fairly educated decision to purchase. All in all this is a well built rod and turned out to exceed my expectations.
