They work very well. They are somewhat less likely than the metallic pads to create that spine-chilling screech, but I've experienced it with these pads occasionally, and they wear more quickly than the metallics. I like the idea of the cooling fins and assume that they work at least to some degree because I've never experienced significant brake fade even on extended descents.

Performance:Not tested yetSuitability:Fits well on my caliperQuality:I doubt about the material itself because not the usual resin color of shimano brake pad.The color i got is rust color while original resin shimano is ash gray.Butit serves the purpose. With cooling fins hanap ko so ito na yun.

Excellent set of pads that are work well in wet and dry. I bought these as my bike had them and I just changed them like for like. These were for my rear brakes after having done about 3500 miles with my original set of pads. The kit had everything you need to change the pads and it's quick and easy to do.The only slight negative is that the instructions miss out the key step of having to push the brake pistons back in to the hub. (I found an old table knife worked best to push the pistons back). You need to do this before being able to place the new pads in as the brake system automatically adjusts the space between the pads and the brake disk rotor. Therefore with old pads, the pistons stick out. I only discovered this after reading the full installation ... MoreExcellent set of pads that are work well in wet and dry. I only discovered this after reading the full installation instructions from the Shimano website.Since changing the pads, everything had worked fine without any issues.
Had a loud squealing rear brake so upgraded the original Shimano pads with these. I also stepped up to a 180mm rotor from a 160. The addition of the cooling fins looks nice, and I like to think it helped with performance, but the rotor change made more of a difference I’m sure. No more squeal, and I’m actually able to lock up my rear wheel where I wasn’t able to before.
Great pads with decent life.I will say this and believe me it is true.DO NOT allow even the tiniest bit of mineral oil from brake bleeds get on these pads. Not even the tiniest residue or you will regret it. Any contamination and you will be rewarded with noisy and worthless brakes requiring a pad replacement. Use alcohol to remove any residue and trust me you dont want to skip this step. Properly installed these pads last a long time and have great grip and I never feel the resin pads are a compromise vs the metal. They will grip faster than you can safely stop without going over the bars even on decent hills.

Shimano J02A Resin Disc Brake Pads
Long-life & quieter braking performanceShimano’s J02A resin disc brake pads offer quieter performance and better modulation than their metal counterparts. Their cooling fins lower braking temperatures – reducing wear and extending the life of your brake pads.Ice technology - cooling technology for consistent performanceShimano has introduced Ice-Tech brake discs and pads to provide optimum cooling technology for consistent performance. The brake discs dissipate heat better through the 3-layer sandwich structure with an aluminium core embedded in stainless steel. This reduces the surface temperature by 100°C. In addition, the brake pads have cooling fins. Less noise, less fading and less wear on the linings are the result of lower temperatures.
