It looks nice but... I bougth this shoes in winter sales, but I started to use it in the end of the spring only. I used it for 10 times only and after that short using the sole is going to separate from the upper. The black part on the nose was broken. I tried to claim it in warranty but they said it is normal. I use five tens over 10 years but I want to try something new but I'm really disappointed in this shoes and brand. The sole isn't sticky and it bends a lot on the pedal. It is bit narrow than the five tens. If you want to use a good mtb shoe, you should to choose another brand not the shimano.

Excellent Quality. Is a wide fitting. Had 2 pedal strikes before I bought them. Ouch. The grip is excellent, without being too hard to move on the pedals. Good price also. 👍

Been finding shoes becoming too narrow lately for us with wider feet, including my son. The shimano shoes are a great option for a wider platform but pay close attention to their sizing chart here. The EU sizes I believe are womens EU sizes so follow the sizing chart guidance exactly to the letter. Thanks JensonUSA for putting the sizing chart on here otherwise we would have ended up with shoes too small if had gone for traditional EU sizing numbers

I normally wear size 11, ordered 46. Fits great. I have wide feet, this shoes is great. One issue is the tongue continuously slides forward after just a mile or two. Laced it appropriately. No idea why, but that is annoying.
I have a wide foot and these are the only flat pedal MTB shoe that is actually shaped like a ?real?human foot. The toe box on these is wider than basically any other MTB flat pedal shoe on the market, believe me I tried them all on. Even Specialized highly praised 2FO roost. I wear a size 10 US in Chuck Taylors and got these in a size 45EU which is around a size 11 US. If you have a normal foot the sizing is probably dead on for you. These aren?t the stiffest shoe, but they aren?t soft by any means. The soles on mine are finally falling apart after two years of riding. The grip is great though no problems there. The shoes work great with my Kona Wah pedals and my Shimano XT wide pedals. They are definitely worth the coin I just wish there was more shoe options for ... These shoes and the AM5 SPD variant are the only cycling shoes I've found with a proper toe box. I wear a lot of barefoot shoes, cycling footwear is not at all conducive to this, most cycling shoes are narrow and cramped, but these Shimano shoes are great. I'll probably buy a couple pairs for fear of them disappearing from production in the future.
This seems like a worthy update to the GR5. The shoe is Shimano's least expensive mountain biking shoe. It is OK. The sole is sticky enough and relatively stiff for moderate use. Just don't expect the performance of Shimano's high-end shoes. The fit is accurate, unlike some of the other brands I tried, and there is sufficient room in the toe box so that you do not feel like you are cramped. For comparison, I wear a street shoe that is men's US-9.5C and usually wear a US-10 in most hiking shoe brands. The Shimano GR5 in EU44 fit just fine; the EU45 was too big.
I have narrow feet & plantar fasciitis so I wear rigid soled shoes cinched tight as my everyday shoes. These work well for my purpose and are easier to get in and out of than the shoes my podiatrist recommended. It appears that they will hold up well in non-bike every day use.
Wore these today for the first time, wet and muddy day on the trails, good grip and pretty waterproof (it was extremely wet weather) so my feet were damp but not soaked. Comfy shoes, great grip on the pedals. As for the service, arrived faster than I expected in undamaged packaging and even had a wee pack of haribo in the box. Would recommend the product and sigma sports.
super stoked on these shoes. so comfortable that i bought another pair just for everyday walking. the wide toe box is a feature that’s missing in other shoes i own and my size 12 feet appreciate the room! these shoes offer very good ventilation in the summer days. makes for quick drying in between rides. i enjoy the minimalistic styling, and I really notice a better grip on my pedals thanks to the rubber soles. first time buying dedicated bike shoes and wish i’d done it sooner. shoes very easy to clean and also waterproof. i will continue to buy them!
