Lightweight Performance Shoes The RC502 shoes are lightweight performance shoes infused with Shimano's S-Phyre DNA. Mesh/TPU and a synthetic leather material-covered upper in an optimized part of the shoe provides a comfortable lightweight fit. It is this surround wrapping upper structure which reduces overlap and the integrated seamless midsole and upper construction set a new level of fit, stability and lightweight performance. A low stack height carbon fibre reinforced nylon midsole stabilizes your foot while maximizing efficient power transfer. Adjustments using the BOA L6 dial on the instep strap quickly and comfortably secures a wide range of foot shapes.

Quality:excellentSuitability:excellentExcellent customer service by seller.Shoes was a tad too small on 1 feet for me and I enquired with seller about a exchange for 1 size up. No questions asked and seller was willing to do the exchange. Appreciate the fuss free service.Size and fitting: I am a 26.5cm size 42 feet .Size 42 wide is too small, toes are cramped. Suggest 1 size up . Fits nicely with socks.

A very pleasant surprise...

I needed to replace S-PHYRE 900 era shoes and the current 903 equivalent is about $500 a pair. I was sort-of willing to go there, but I decided to try a couple of other shoes first before making that big a purchase. I wanted double BOA design shoes, but after trying a couple different models which did not fit my feet very well, I decided to try one more pair, the RC5 even though they were single BOA. From the start they felt comfortable, with a nice solid fit, and a bit of flex as compared to the S-PHYRE and other shoes I've worn in the recent past. Given the $170 price was about one third of the latest generation S-PHYRE, it was worth a shot. After a few weeks, they remain great, and in fact I favor them over the S-PHYRE I had planned to buy. On the road they have been comfortable, with no hot spots and good power transfer, and on the trainer they've not been an issue. I may miss the dual direction BOA (tighten and loosen by the dial), but not at this point. My feet usually shrink during a ride, so being able to tighten the shoes with the BOA dial may be enough. Love them, would buy again in an instant. I may buy a second pair later in the year so I can switch between them for my trainer-winter as all the trainer riding really took a toll on my last pair. For this price, why not?

Very happy with purchaseShoes are comfortable for myself through short sprint sessions and 5 hour endurance rides. They are quite well ventilated which I expect will be good for summer but does make a tad cold in the winter - helped by simply taping over with electrical tape.Sigma sports excellent as usual

Shoes are great, very comfortable so far, I felt the difference in comfort from my previous shimano shoes. I am very pleased with the quality of the material, the BOA ratchet system is so much precise than the straps from my previous shoes. Thank you for the fast service Bike INN.

Wide is great, tongue is not padded enough
15 April 2023

I had been wearing shoes that were too long for me because I needed something wide enough for my feet, and then someone pointed out I should just buy wide shoes...duh! Also, bonus points for having enough room for my custom orthodics. Downside is the tongue. It is not that thick/soft and does not overhang enough to really protect your top of your foot from getting pinched by the top strap of the shoe. So it's comfy for part of your pedal rotation and pinchy-hurts for the other part. I won't buy these again for that reason.

really nice shoes
8 June 2023

Bought these as a first pair of proper shoes for my daughter and they are excellent. Light weight, easy to put on and importantly for her look really good. Haven't bought Shimano shoes for a long time but will consider next time I need new ones.
