TBH I bought this as the lowest-price rear wheel I could find to use on a trainer with Zwift. But when it arrived I was struck by its good looks and decent weight. I called before I bought it on line and the Alexandria store promised to fit a cassette I bought to the wheel. Which they did! And also did a lovely job of a contact-free handover at the Alexandria store. And all that 24 hours AHEAD of the delivery time advertised on the site when I bought it. I'm a very happy shopper and will be back.

I bought this wheel originally to use just on my turbo trainer so I didn't have to swap wheels all the time. I have nothing particularly special, my Boardman bike is fitted with CXP22 wheels with unknown hubs. This wheel instantly improved everything about my bike training- I can ride faster, further and with a lower heart rate and when I stop pedalling the wheel still turns like on the road- unlike my original wheel which stops almost immediately. On my first hour long ride, I was 4mph quicker and my heart rate dropped by 10bpm. It does make me wonder how much better a more expensive wheel could be?....

Pothole killed original Bonty wheel rim so needed a quick replacement for next Sportive . Recently replaced rear with R500 so this is good choice for me. Looks good . Runs true even after 80 mile rugged ride on unfamiliar roads. Has 20 spokes compared with 32 on original wheel but is holding up well even with 83kg body weight. braking runs smoothly on machined rims. Takes tyres easily - Conti gator skin hard shell. So far so good

I wasn't sure what replacement wheel I needed. I sent the details of my existing wheel and the staff at Pushys quickly researched and suggested a choice of 2 replacements. I went with the Shimano Tiagra which arrived promptly. I have been riding with it for 2 weeks and I'm very happy with it, it's light and strong. Well done Pushys team!
The wheel is good, but we had the earlier 500 version for 7 x 6000km/year with 58kg rider and the bearings failed. It was never serviced or greased and the balls and cups wore out. It is hard to get a replacement parts to fix so had to buy a new WH-501 wheel. The 501 seems to have a better seal arrangement so should last longer than the earlier version. See picture of bearing wear after 42000km!!!
I've used this wheel set for the past 3 years with no issues. They are stiff and more than strong enough for my 28 mile daily commute. The swallow up uneven surfaces and pot holes with ease. Ive never had to have them trued and they have at least 6k on the clock.Highly recommended for the price.
I replaced my Mavic CPX22 rear wheel about 6 weeks ago. I thought they were pretty good as I had got about 5000-6000 miles on them without a problem - not even had to true them (until I cracked the rear - my own fault - big kerb)... I was recommended the Shimano by the guys in the shop. They ride nice and smoothly and they look pretty good, but after about 6 weeks one of the spokes snapped off. As far as I'm aware I haven't been over any particuarly bad pot holes or bumps - I'm generally pretty careful.I can only assume that either these wheels aren't so good for the heavy guy (I'm around 110kg) - or maybe it got knocked about a bit when I left it locked up somehwere. The jury's out I guess - but I think next time I might switch back to the Mavics just in case!
I've never been to worried about weight, although these feel lighter than the 40 year old rims they're replacing. I only worry about design, construction and quality. First ride with the new rims today and they're smooth, comfortable and silent. Shimano quality gear hasnt disappointed me yet.Pushys fast delivery is awesome. Thanks.
Still early days as I've only had the wheel for a week or so but straight out of the box the tension of all the spoke seems even which is not always the case! I'm running it on my hybrid commuter rather the on a trainer/race bike and it feels fine regarding stiffness. Also looks a lot cooler than the wheel that blew up after I changed the tyre !! ;) And yes - it was the rim that blew apart not the tyre !
Bought this in Kendal as an emergency replacement for my high-end wheel after the rear hub assembly started to fall apart fairly early into a coast to coast ride. Evans Kendal staff were brilliant - tried to patch my wheel to no avail and then went above and beyond by swapping my cassette over to the R500 for me (didn't fancy doing it myself in a car park!). The wheel itself was surprisingly good - being a lot heavier than my SR it was noticeably slower when climbing, but it rolled really well on the flat and felt pretty sure-footed and relatively nimble. Very pleasantly surprised and will probably keep it as a spare/turbo wheel.
