Upgraded from a Prymal rod to the Shimamo brand that everyone always raves about. It’s definitely worth the hype - perfect length for lake/river fishing, flexible but solid unlike a lot of other sticks. When you feel and see the rod flex with a fish on the line, also have a strong sense of strengthHighly recommend!

Rod is awesome not too soft and not too hard which makes it feels every bite and when fish on the rod can handle with ease. Using a 4000 reel which balances it out and casting is a breeze.The only downside is as a 2 piece only the handle can be removed and makes it difficult to put inside the car, total length is 6 foot which i find it too long.

I paired my 6-12lb Zodias rod with a Vanford 2500, incredible pairing.The Zodias is sensitive and strong, picked up a big flattie on my third cast and the rod felt amazing. Super light and feels good in the hand, easy and comfortable to throw for hours.
Great light weight and heavy duty rod. I use it to target kingfish and mulloway on lures and it hasn't let me down yet. The packaging BCF had sent it in after i purchased online was absolutely rubbish. They wrapped it in paper and with bubble wrap. If you are to buy from them do it in store.
Amazing service and price from BCF. Paired it with a shimano vanford 2500, the rod is great to flick soft plastics and crank baits. Great to cast and very light and responsive. I’m targeting flathead, bream and jacks. I’m very happy with the combo
Only good thing about someone breaking into your garage and stealing all your rod and reels has been replacing it with the latest models.Combined this with the new Shimano Vanford 1000 (10lb braid) and I reckon it’s the lightest combo I’ve owned. Not a cheap set up but feels awesome in the hand, especially when hooked up :)

I’ve been using the medium 7’ Zodias for a couple of months - brilliant light rod with a Vanford 2500 reel makes for a light estuary rod. Great for whiting and flatties but can handle an accidental pinky or larger flathead. I’ll be adding a medium/heavy to the arsenal soon.
