I cannot even begin to count how many foundations I have tried in my lifetime, but it has been entirely too many. I ordered this during the spring Sephora sale because I'd heard rumblings about it on YouTube on multiple different occasions and was in the market for a new foundation at the time. Y'ALL, I was not expecting it to CHANGE MY LIFE?!?! I am so mad because it is definitely not cheap as far as foundations go, but OMG it is worth every penny to me. I will say that if you are oily or like a more matte look, this might not be for you unless you're ready to heavily powder -- it's definitely more on the luminous side, but I love that about it. I have normal skin that might lean a tiny bit oily on problem days, but it lasts for HOURS AND HOURS on my skin with zero touch-ups because I am way to lazy to be bothered with that. By the end of the night, I am literally admiring myself in the mirror because my skin still looks so good. The staying power they claim really does hold up for me and my skin. I don't think there will ever be a time when this is no longer in my collection for daily use. If anyone knows of a more affordable dupe, I'm ALL EARS tho... lol.

I have mild hormonal acne (for which I use tretinoin) and combination skin. I guess I do get oily throughout the day in my T-zone with most foundations. That’s exactly where this foundation loses for me unfortunately. When I apply it properly, it’s stunning! A natural finish with a soft glow and blurring properties because of the light reflecting pigments. Flatters my texture and my skin looks like porcelain. Beautiful foundation

I had tried the Shiseido self refreshing foundation before and liked it, so was keen to give this a try. Usually I just wear a skin tint, as I like my skin to look like skin. But I’ve had breakouts recently and felt I needed more coverage. The first time I used it I did put too much on all at once, and was wearing a heavy primer (Hourglass Serum primer) so thought it looked bad, especially in natural light, but tried again the next day with a lighter primer, and built the coverage up gradually. It looked much better, I got so many compliments on my complexion so it must have made a difference! Gives a nice dewy glow without looking oily, honestly once it’s on it doesn’t even looks like you need any powder to ‘de-shine’ just looks so natural. Best foundation by a country mile!

I bought this foundation a few weeks ago and wish i had discovered Shiseido long before now. I have tried usingmany other premium brands, all of which promise a “flawless “ finish but despite the premium price fail to deliver. The first time I applied the Synchro Skin foundation I was impressed with the softly glowing finish and the fact that the texture of my skin looked great with no large pores visible. The colour was a perfect match too. (I have fair skin with a cool pink undertone and have difficulty finding suitable shades). The huge bonus is that the more I’ve used this foundation the more my skin has improved. Before using this product I would never have the confidence to be seen without makeup on, but the difference now is astonishing. Firming, radiant

I previously used other firming foundations that I loved but were discontinued. I also previously used this manufacturer in a firming foundation that was also, sadly, discontinued since it was my fave. I have fair to med skin tone BUT cool - a very difficult skin tone when selecting shade. I found Silk to be the best shade for this. The foundation is radiant and lifting and easy to dispense and apply with sponge followed by smoothing with foundation brush. My previous shades were light to med natural cool beige for reference.

Good but....

This is a good foundation however I bought online so the colour is not quite right and I bought too light (unfortunately my nearest Space NK is over 40 miles away), I won't be making that mistake again and will probably refrain from buying foundations from Space NK until they start doing samples with purchases so you can try the shade like Sephora. I digress, I can't fully judge the finish due to the wrong shade but from what I have used it is a nice natural finish. I have tricky skin - dry eczema prone but I also get hormonal spots so have scaring and this covers well without highlighting any of my problem areas. Gorgeous product

This is such a gorgeous foundation. Really love the texture and the glow that it gives. It blends out effortlessly and the coverage is amazing, I barely needed concealer which is unheard of for me. It lasted well on me, I did top up around my chin and nose after lunch but didn’t touch up the rest of the my face during the day. The packaging is nice and the twist pump is unusual but I could see it getting messy after a while. I have to wipe the pump after each use which is fine. This is the closest foundation I have found to my favourite Givenchy one that was discontinued

I have changed my mind about foundation!

I have dry skin, so for many many years I have disliked foundation because my dry skin patches were a magnet for makeup. I've tried different methods of application, different brands, primers, etc. I wasn't ever crazy about the results. But as I aged... And these darn sun/age spots started to grace my face along with darkening freckles I wanted to revisit the issue. A friend recommended Shishedo Foundation, described both the Lifting and the Self-Refreshing. I decided upon the Lifting. With the color choosing "wizard" I ordered a shade that is just right. I felt such a difference as I applied it - it's coverage is amazing WITHOUT feeling cakey or heavy. It evenly covers, and I just stipple a little extra on my sun/age spots for extra coverage. I am very pleased with this foundation. I don't like heavy makeup and when I wear it, I don't feel "made up" I just feel like my skin looks younger and that it has evened out my tone. The first day I wore it, my 12 year old son asked if I was wearing makeup - I asked if it looked bad? No, looks good! So that boosted my confidence that it had accomplished what I was aiming for without liking artificial. Plus, it lasts all day !!!

Lovely foundation at a great price!

This really is a lovely foundation, and you need very little for nice coverage. I used shisheido's last version of this foundation and loved it, still upset it's discontinued, but this version is quite nice. It has more sheen than the other version but I like it. I will say that you need very little of this foundation to give nice coverage. It gets a bit cakey, shiny if you use too much. All in all, it's a win, BUT, THE COLOR, NUMBER OF THE OLD VERSION OF THIS FOUNDATION IS NOT THE SAME AS THE NEW ONE. I SUGGEST GOING TO THE COMPANY WEBSITE AND ASK THE VIRTUAL ASSISTANT THE CORRECT COLOR THAT CORRESPONDS TO THE OLD COLOR YOU USED

This Foundation is BOMB!

This was my first time trying a Shiseido foundation and I have to admit I wasn't quite sure if this foundation would really work with my oily, acne prone skin but boy was I wrong! After trying this foundation I am so happy I got to test it out because it completely exceeded my low expectations-in fact, I LOVE it! Because I have incredibly oily skin, anytime I see a foundation with a "radiant" finish, I tend to avoid it at the risk of looking like a full on grease ball. Not only that, while I appreciate that this foundation had SPF in it, I was nervous that this foundation would leave a cast over my skin with the added SPF. So first I'll start with the pros: -Perfect Packaging & Amazing Coverage: I was so pleasantly surprised at the amazing coverage this foundation had. I suffer from hyperpigmentation and have some acne scarring on my cheeks and was surprised at the medium to full coverage after just one pump! After just one pump nearly one side of my face was covered AND it covered up my scarring and marks! I also loved the sleek and easy design of the packaging. The foundation comes in a nice glass bottle with a twist pump for super easy(and QUICK) application. -Incredibly light weight & spot-on color matching: I loved how light weight this foundation was. Like the primer(which I also highly recommend), this foundation blended so seamlessly into my skin. I was skeptical to see if this would really "sync" with my skin tone, and give me that airbrushed look but was pleasantly pleased to see that the color-match was spot on and gave me that airbrushed finish I love. While I truly did wind up loving this foundation I will say that my one "con" (which doesn't really count) is that because this foundation is packed with hydration and give you that "radiant" look, it WILL give you that radiant look so if you're an oily girl like me...bring your powder and/or blotting papers cause you WILL get SHINY!! I personally didn't mind blotting considering all the other pros, but if you're an oily gal looking for a matte finish, this foundation is not your vibe. Overall though, I would totally recommend this foundation and will be bumping this to the front of the line for me everyday.
