An extremely comfortable wire free soft cup sports bra with 2 clasps at the back. The shoulders are beautifully padded to reduce pressure and the semi-action back keeps the straps in place without slipping off narrow shoulders. Although with internal engineering to provide great support, not quite suitable for high impact running etc with a larger cup size

Disappointed as the sizing was completely off. Bought in size 38D; have subsequently used bra extenders on all fastenings and can say the absorber works. However, the brand is Champion sport and not shock absorber (the original). I am not a slight build and maybe that was the reason for my difficulty in correct size/fitting.

My boobs are somewhere between 12G and 10H depending on the brand. So they're heavy, awkward, usually getting elbowed, and make far too much contact with cupboard doors accidentally. They also sublux (partially dislocate) my ribs if left unrestrained for too long.I had recently purchased a Shock Absorber Active D+ Classic that was Very Good but the bottom band has a tendency to roll up on itself after about 6hrs wear, and ends up tooth-flossing my ribs which is not ideal and quite painful.I noticed the different closure for this model and figured it was worth trying to see if it behaved differently. The only downside to this closure design is that if you're not flexible or hypermobile, you might need someone else's assistance to get all strapped in. Or maybe you've got smaller boobs and can wriggle in and out? I know I can't.Both models of the Shock Absorber bras hold my ******* in against my chest firmly, I feel very supported and secure while wearing them. The straps sit nice and high on my shoulders, closer to my collarbone where the muscles can take the load. Excellent design, easily the best non-wired bras in my experience so far.

Overall, I really like this sports bra! It has a nice shape, is well made, and does its job. I will say it is not as supportive as some other sports bras that I have with underwires but it works well enough. Beware, though, that this bra does run at least 1 cup size small! I wear a 32F/DDD in American/French sizing (mostly in Chantelle & Simone Perele). I ordered a size 32E UK sizing, which is the equivalent. The cups are definitely very tight and cause spillover. Unfortunately the next size up is not available in the color I want so I am going to make do because I love the red/pink version of this bra and am currently losing weight, so hopefully I'll shrink into it :)! If not, it is wearable as is, just not ideal.
All I can say is if I could give this bra a zero star I would! The sizing is utterly horrendous, when I pulled it out of the packaging it looked like it wouldn’t even fit a teenage girl never mind a woman who’s normally a 28ins around the back. This bra was by no means a 30f when I put it on there was literally two inches of material missing I mean I might be carrying a little Christmas weight but I have not jumped from a 28in to a 36in in a matter of two weeks! when I measured the bra it came to 58cm, I’m not lingerie measuring expert but I think we’re missing a good 10-12cms here. I also ordered another sports bra in the same size and it was exactly the same problem. I wish companies would be a little more consistent with the sizing of the products they stock. ... MoreAll I can say is if I could give this bra a zero star I would! I'm a fairly loyal Shock Absorber punter, as I feel their bras live up to a lot of punishment. This one is no exception, although I was a bit horrified the first time I tried it on that the sizes had all changed as it felt so TIGHT. However, despite a few contortions to get it done up over the first month or so, it settled down and so did my technique (old fashioned, do up round front, turn back and wriggle in!!) - and after a year, it's not something I think about. My punishment is running (5km to half marathons generally), and the bra is really good, zero movement, straps, chestband, everything stays in place. I also wear it for callisthenics, you stay the same shape in a handstand!! You feel like you are locked in, which for me I prefer. It's comfortable, but it is a sports bra, try wearing it at your desk you may find yourself getting sore shoulders. Working out the economics, I've had over 200 wears out of this bra now and it's still going strong and washes well. If it's like my others, it will still be going in 2-3 years, well worth the money.
One of the hooks on the back disintegrated before I had chance to use it! Bought for a holiday and didn’t realise until I was away. Bought a second shock absorber bra at the same time and have had exactly the same issue a month later, were hook has snapped off. Poor quality
Good support, great price on sale. Bought 34G, but unfortunately, I double over the top of it. I would have loved a smooth line like my regular bra. Any recommendations for a sports bra with a smooth line, please?
It's has 2 adjustable straps at the back and already mentioned cups cut to fit around the breast instead of just flattening it and in turn making it more supportive. I would still like a bit more padding in nipple area(but not full on foam inserts)as it's not 100% seamless but then again more seamless than other bras of same thickness(or even the white Champion collab). I like that these are shorter as I find most regular sized too long for my torso(I'm 5'4). It's definitely supportive but if you want to immobilise your chest to the point then I found adding boob band do the trick even on lower support ones. I'm def sticking to shock absorber after I tried 2 of their sports bras of this kind
This is absolutely ridiculous now. I paid for the bra and then 1 week later they tell me it’s not in stock and if I wanted a refund to contact them. They did offer an extra $20 to buy another bra but I wasn’t happy with the other bras.I asked for a refund, it’s now been nearly 3 weeks!!!!! And I haven’t received my money nor a response to two emails. This is beyond ridiculous. I hope this review lights a fire under the team to contact me.
