The open face design combined with the ease of use offered by the J-Cruise, made it into one of the most comfortable jet helmets of its time. Now, by adding the latest technology that SHOEI has to offer, the J-Cruise evolved into the J-Cruise II, creating a new kind of value for your riding experience. With the J-Cruise at the base of the design, the new J-Cruise II has an even more compact, modern and refined shell style. The helmet is constructed from AIM material and comes in three shell sizes to keep the dimensions and weight of the helmet to a minimum. The helmet boasts improved aerodynamic performance as the shell shape serves as a spoiler and improved ventilation by 30% through the addition of one air intake. The J-Cruise II uses the CJ-2 visor, with minimum distortion and a clear field of view. In addition, it is now possible to set the visor to a slightly open position to quickly defog and efficiently ventilate the inside of the helmet. The J-Cruise II visor is prepared for the installation of a Pinlock lens to protect against fogging of the visor. The new internal QSV-2 sun visor is 5 mm longer and further reduces sunlight entering the helmet. The premium materials used ensure a highly comfortable design when taken off, put on or worn. The 3D-centerpad + Cheekpads are detach- and washable and the fabric of this inner lining is a hybrid between moisture-absorbent, quick-drying material and soft raised fabric. This offers greater snugness and optimum comfort when wearing the helmet. The J-Cruise II features a micro-ratchet-type chinstrap and an attachment mechanism for the SRL or SRL2 communication system.

Good fit. Excellent airflow. Very comfortable. Like the drop down sun visor, just wish it came down a little lower.

I have a Shoei full face helmet, which I quite like, as well as a Schuberth full face flip up. However, I wanted an open face model to ride with a more open feeling. The Shoei J-Cruise is light and comfortable, and cool on hot summer days.

Excellent fit and finish. Sena blue tooth fits inside the helmet. Love the built in sunglasses, A little noisy at higher speeds but visibility makes up for it. Wide range of vision. Not heavy at slow speed and well vented. It’s a win for me.

The J Cruise by Shoei has some of the best air flow and visibility of any helmet I've owned and I've owned a bunch. Been riding bikes for over 60 years. I did have to replace the cheek pads in order to fit the helmet to my head but after fitting the new pads, it fits like a champ. It's a bit pricy but you get what you pay for in a well made helmet.
Not the cheapest lid but worth every dollar! I got two of these with the Sena interface and It’s a phenomenal combo! The lid is low drag even at speed and has amazing ventilation. There’s the usual Shoei build quality and details with the added benefit of the full spectrum of audio inputs through the Sena system. Music, R2P & B2B comms, phone and nav. I love this helmet!
I have the Schuberth C3 modular helmet and paid a mint for it along with the (cardo) communication system built into the collar and love it. But ever since getting the J-Cruise I have to admit I really enjoy wearing it over the C3 unless the weather is really nasty. One fault I find is the placement of the actual speaker cups where I place the G9 speakers in - they seem off-centre which impedes on the how the sound is directed to my ears. It's not a big deal though since I can just shift the helmet. The shield is huge and allows for awesome visbility while the drop down sunshield is by far the clearest plastic I've ever seen through. Although the actual mechanism to lower the sun visor is a little difficult to find with or without gloves. Great open face helmet, have had it for two years and its very comfortable. My only complaint is that if I ride faster than about 60 kmh with the face sheild open, there is a very loud whistling sound. Annoying. I guess its shoei's way of getting you to close the sheild!Terrific helmet otherwise, I ride a naked bike.
Rode around 3500 kms. Snug at the beginning but no localised pressure points (eyeglass wearer). Visors are of excellent optical quality. Wind protection great, Ventilation could be a tad better. Could offer quick latch system for price
The helmet is of very high quality, however the fitment is small. According to the sizing guide I ordered the large. The helmet fits my head but, after 2 hours of riding my ears became very sore. I sent the helmet back to Leatherup to exchange for an XL. Leatherup returned it to me because it had been worn. I then contacted a Shoei representative and learned that the ear pads are removable and the cheekpads can be replaced with a smaller size. I then contacted Leatherup asking them to send the smaller cheekpads at no cost and the request was denied by management. I am very dissappointed with Leatherup's customer service after the sale. They are very good at selling products but, when there is a problem after the sale they fall short. I would not recommend buying ... MoreThe helmet is of very high quality, however the fitment is small. According to the sizing guide I ordered the large. While this helmet was priced at the top of the market it still has room for improvement. Probably best in class however; for what you pay there are many helmets that rival this one very well. So, it is the best however; you will pay $200 more for it and only slightly benefit.
