The helmet is perfect nice fit and comfortable. However the Sena 20sEvo is a complete fail. I can’t get the voice command to work. I e-mailed tech support at Sena and was told the best way is to tap the ambient mode button. Which defeats the reason as to why I purchased it. Dyllan at the store in Jacksonville was excellent. I’ll be returning the Sena this week and get a Cardo.The helmet is a 10

Best modular helmet we've tried

We bought 2 Shoei Neotec II Separator and are extremely pleased with them. This is my third modular and so far it's the best of them. They fit great, very comfortable and definitely the quietest. Also find them to be a much better design than our previous helmet; I no longer feel like my head is being pulled off when I turn it to the side and it's certainly not heavier.While these do cost more I wouldn't hesitate to buy them again.

Excellent helmet with lots of features.

Fit and finish are outstanding! This is my 3rd Shoei and I went from a RF-1200 Large to a Medium in this model. Having an internal smoked eye shield is a huge benefit. It is much easier to get on and off. The neck seal is great, giving less wind noise. Should match cycle perfectly.

Good and Not So Good

After researching helmets on the web and trying on some in stores, I figured I had found the best helmet to meet my needs which were quiet, quality and comfortable. I decided on the Shoei. After I put it on and sat on my bike, I was aware of the chin strap buckle cutting in to my throat area. I didn't notice this in the store as standing with it on is not the same as sitting in the riding position. I thought it might be minor but with it on for 15 minutes, I could not imagine a long ride with it digging into my neck. BRING BACK THE DOUBLE D RINGS!!! I returned it for a refund. It's also one of the heaviest helmets I have tried. Fit and finish is excellent.

Great and quiet helmet

Very comfortable, quiet, clear vision. Runs a little larger than say an Arai, but not by much. The SRL mesh system is clear and nice sound, it too tinny. Recommend this for long rides and all day comfort.

Great helment, but airflow in hot weather disappointing

The 4 vs 5 stars is due solely to what I feel was a failure by SHOEI with regards to airflow during hot, muggy weather riding. I have a SHOEI RF1200 which I feel is definitely more comfortable for hotter climates such as central Texas where I live. The airflow difference is very noticeable in my opinion. Having said that, if used at the first "open" position it was ok. I wish helmet manufacturers actually focused a bit more on hotter weather riding. SHOEI isn't the only helmet manufacturer with this problem. However, other than that the helmet is spectacular. Fits great. "Sunglasses" visor is excellent. Operation is simple, reliable, and crisp. Literally the ONLY complaint is with the airflow problem. Quite and safe helmet

Bought this helmet based on safety and noise. I've owned a Neotec and it was great. I was in the market for a new helmet. I use the SHARP ratings to evaluate the safety. I was also wanting a low noise helmet and I am very pleased. I wish helmet published a db level for their helmets. A very comfortable helmet. I do not like that Shoei has decided to team up with Sena for comms- I have Cardo Packtalk Slim and it does not fit in the helmet. Shoei should make an adaptor for the Cardo system.

I have a large head, long oval, and long top to bottom. It's very hard for me to put on closed face helmets. Many other brands say they'll fit. But they definitely don't. For example I can't even dream of getting an icon past my forhead, and the ls2 fit so poorly that I almost threw it away (returned it luckily). When I started riding, the Neotec II was the only helmet in my local shop that fit, So that's the helmet I bought and the helmet I return to. I'm so glad Shoei released this awesome colorway and I finally got my hands on one. The quietest modular.

I didn't have to turn my music up all the way, in fact my music seemed too loud at 65% volume.I've ridden over 1,500 miles since I got the Neotec II and it's been great. perfect helmet and great style.

Had this helmet for 6 months now and I will never go back to a helmet without the full face opening up option. It can be a tighter fit since it doesn't have to be pulled on with a closed face shield. I still wear a medium but it feels slightly snugger. I love the colors and pattern. Also, this is quieter than any helmet before.
