The helmet is great as any other Shoei before but with a new design the opening is very small. Once on the head it fits great but taking on and off is very painfull experience. I have to send it back.Great support from Motocard anyway.

Excellent quality

The first time using this helmet I was amazed at the quality. It was everything it said it was. Definitely worth it. The only thing stopping the 5 star review was a scratch on the visor in line with my right eye. Other than that perfect helmet

Great colour but not sure of the visor button and air vent

Previously had the NXR and it was due for replacement so I went for the NXR 2. The padding feels better, I love the colour and it seems a bit quieter on a moderate test run. The quality is typically good shoei. The visor release is a bit weird having to press a button at the front, and with winter gloves I wasn't sure if I was opening the vent further or pressing the visor release. Why change something that wasn't broken. Found that the visor misted up round town as I was faffing about trying to get a small gap. Unfamiliarity I guess but annoying.

I still wonder if this helmet is an imitation or if it is a pre-production model

From the very 1st day the lower parts of the liner (the triangles on the side of the chin guards below the chic pads) are unpinned and getting out of place on both sides every time you try to put on or off the helmet. Apart from that the visor is very noisy and never fit properly. First time buying a Shoei a complete disappointment. I owned, Nolan, Airoh, Shark, Fox, TLD among others and never faced any problems even after many years of usage.

Love this helmet

The nxr2 has massively boosted my confidence it is the most comfortable helmet I've ever worn and is nice and light weight, also a very quiet helmet. great for long rides and absolutely love the custom sena they make for it, looks great!

Quality helmet

For years I’d never seen the point of spending more money than required on a helmet. I’d base decisions on five star sharp ratings and price. Couldn’t see the point of spending loads of money on an expensive helmet when there are cheaper options that are rated as just as safe.I can now see why people spend more money on helmets than I used to!

Shoei NXR2

Just replacing my old Shoei NXR helmet.New one is defiantly a tighter fit that the the original NXR.Great vision.Nice and light.all in all a top helmet.Love it.

Shoei NXR2 mmmm?

The actual helmet is as I expected a step up from NXR I have had for the past 5 years.Shoei have still not sorted out the Shoei ‘hat hair’ situation! 😁 We still suffer the crinkle cut chip effect after a an hour or so. I know it is part of the venting system, I know it can be avoided with skull cap, but please Shoei, try to sort it out.

Top Lid

After trying a few different helmets have returned to Shoei, the basalt grey looks fantastic paint quality is excellent as usual with Shoei, on taking the lining out to fit my intercom there seems to be another increase in quality to the internals on the NXR2 it's moved on a level and Shoei's have always been better than the others in my opinion. The lid is light, it feels lighter than my full carbon shark when on, it's pretty quiet the field of vision is good when riding and the new flatter visor has fantastic clarity. I also really noticed a difference with buffeting when compared to my other helmets especially on shoulder checks so the aerodynamics have definitely had some work done them.
