Safety Shock absorbing helmet shell made of AIM Double D closure E.Q.R.S. safety system (Emergency Quick Release System) Homologated according to ECE 22-06 Its AIM (Advanced Integrated Matrix) outer shell, combined with a polystyrene core system composed of several elements of different absorption capacity, provides optimal impact protection. The CWR-F2 visor, newly developed for the SHOEI NXR2, with a two-dimensional shape, allows a distortion-free and very natural vision. Reinforcements at the upper and lower edge of the visor increase the torsional stiffness, a now centrally mounted locking mechanism prevents the unintentional opening of the visor. It can be changed and adjusted quickly and without tools thanks to a further developed mechanism of the previous model. The enlarged, anti-fog PINLOCK EVO lens included with the helmet allows an unobstructed view in a large part of the usable field of vision, even in difficult weather conditions, thanks to the mounting points that are offset far to the rear. The chin strap with double-D closure is easily adjustable and holds the helmet securely in place. In an emergency, the cheek pads can be easily removed for gentle helmet removal thanks to the EQRS (Emergency Quick Release System). Its light weight relieves the neck muscles and thus reduces the fatigue effect, whether in sporting use on the racetrack or on extended tours. The three-dimensionally contoured head pad, the pre-shaped cheek pads and the chin strap pad are completely removable and washable. Lightly roughened, but soft, quick-drying cover materials reduce friction of the pads on the skin and ensure a comfortable feel. The redesigned cheek pads allow the helmet to be put on and taken off more easily. With their more voluminous underside, they reduce the wearer s exposure to noise. Head and cheek pads are available in different thicknesses to customize the helmet. Removable pads in the ear area effectively contribute to noise reduction. Cutouts in the ear area allow a communication system to be fitted. Ventilation Multiple ventilation and exhaust 6 inlets on forehead & chin 4 outlets at the back of the head & neck The 6 ventilation inlets and 4 exhaust outlets of the SHOEI NXR2 are connected via a branched ventilation system inside the helmet shell and noticeably reduce the interior temperature and humidity inside the helmet. They always ensure a sufficient supply of fresh air for the rider without increasing the noise level. The result is a pleasant helmet interior climate for a concentrated and fatigue-free ride, both for sporty riding on the race track and for motorcycle trips to warm countries. The closure sliders of the ventilation inlets are easy to feel even with gloves. Aerodynamics Integrated spoilers Developed in Shoei s wind tunnel Reduction of lift by 6%, minimization of drag by 4% (compared to NXR) The integrated spoiler in the back of the head stabilizes the helmet at higher speeds. The compact and aerodynamically optimized design of the SHOEI NXR2 further reduces its wind resistance and buoyancy tendency compared to the already low values of the previous model. This effectively relieves the rider s neck muscles and reduces the fatigue effect even on longer rides. Vortex generators on the edges of the visor and a newly developed visor seal minimize noise generation in the visor area. Accessories Visors in a variety of different tints and mirror coatings are available for the SHOEI NXR2, which can be used in compliance with ECE homologation guidelines. The helmet is equipped with a clear visor of type CWR-F2 as standard. All visors of this type can be fitted with anti-fog PINLOCK EVO lenses, one of which is included with the helmet.
