Connection drops randomly sometimes. The Aonic 215 uses 1 bud as master and 1 as the slave. Though both can function in this capacity, only one connects to your phone and the other connects to the first bud. The upshot is, the one connecting to your phone will die first. I guess this is a tradeoff for having IEMs as true wireless buds, but I hope later generations will address these issues.5) Ingress protection: Mixed bag, sweat will get into the MMCX connector and sometimes the earphone will stop working. Nothing disconnecting it and wiping it doesn't fix, but still noteworthy. Works fine in the rain too. I have put my pair through the washing machine twice by mistake by leaving them in my pocket and though water did get in, they work fine after drying out. Do not try this at home, I was probably lucky.6) Ergonomics: Although comfortable and hang on well even when working out, they're big. Some people have asked me if they're hearing aids. The connection in the charging case is a bit finnicky sometimes, and one bud may fail to charge.7) Battery: I get about 5-6 hours nowadays after regular use over 1 year. About 1 hour more after the first bud dies as mentioned above.8) Mic: Bad. Just bad.Takeaway: Good sounding TW earphones with IEM advantages of good isolation and good audio quality but has definite room for improvement especially in Bluetooth connectivity and microphone quality.

Being able to control noise cancellation and equaliser from the app alone is quite impressive. Battery lasts about 3 hours without the in built case charger which is ok for me. The only cons for me is the manual adjustment of the equaliser which can get a bit tricky, but I hope I will learn them in the near future. A big plus point is the detachable bud which can be used in wired mode. I purchase the cable alongwith it and when I feel the need to listen lo high res music over the wire I could easily connect then wired to my headphone Amp and enjoy better music. Over all its a great purchase in terms of sound, convenience, battery life, shure apps and the ability to use it in wired mode. Thanks to headphone zone to make this product available.

Amazing sound quality but everything else is falling apart.1. After a few month of use I started to have a lot de-synchronizing between the two sides. One would just shut down without warning and would not start to work until it's fully loaded. (With both PC and Phone)2. Also after a few month, the button would just break and I had to use electrical tape to cover the gaping hole left after the mushy plastic would cave in.3. Both sides broke after a year of use between the hard plastic and the soft plastic. As I try to ramove them from the case, they broke in the middle only holding with the cables. Had to glue them back together but it won't hold for long time.4. Unable to adjust the volume on my phone, it would not connect. (On 3 different phone)

First Bluetooth earbuds that truly work for me. Clever design means the battery weight isn't in or under my ear. Therefore they don't give me ear fatigue.I've got wired Shure buds so had already figured out how to wear these without bumbling, but otherwise there's gonna be a learning curve. Especially with sunglasses, masks etc.Battery is pretty decent. Not awful, not amazing. For example, today I listened to an audiobook (with plenty of pausing and rewinding due to distractions) and was down to 67% charge after 3 hours. But since they're stored in the case, I only need to charge once a week, which is way better than my previous BT headphones. Not sure why everyone hates the case, but I love it, find it attractive, high quality, and practical, and I have no ... MoreFirst Bluetooth earbuds that truly work for me. I also appreciate that the buds turn on and pair automatically. The physical buttons are more reliable than tapping/waving or whatever, and a lot about these buds is customizable via the app (not all earbuds allow for much flexibility).Only negative is that using the buttons to raise or lower the sound is the equivalent of like 3 increments on my phone. So one notch louder is too much for my sensitive ears. The fault could be my phone, I dunno. Anyway, not a big deal for me as I prefer to pause what I'm listening to rather than increase the sound.

Great But, Great sound Signature, and design
23 August 2022

This is my 1st audiophile range earphone, having used a ton of commercial range headphones/earphones (Bose QC & Soundsport, Sony WH/WF XM, Sennheiser Momentums....)This is a great addition to my collection.Design: it solves one of the main reasons for buying it, i.e. sticks to ears while working out.Comfort: The memory foam ear plugs are very comfortable.Sound Quality: The Mids and Highs are as you expect out of a Shure. Have to tweak the equaliser to set the lows for bass guitars. Not ideal for bassheads.Overall a very good earphone with well balanced sound Signature

You can customize within the app how much environmental noise you want to hear (like hearing aids). You have the ability to play around with the EQ in the app making it easy to find the right choice for you. I like that because I don't want to hear all bass, I actually like hearing the words of my songs or podcasts. The charging case is that it us too large and bulky. In life you typically sacrifice something for something else and in this case it's a great fit for your ears but now getting a larger case. The case is a zipper type and large so I am not able to open it with one hand. I am able to plug in a cord (included) into the case directly which has a light indicator on the top and a battery amount indicator on the bottom you can push to see how much is left. The case gives up to about 3 additional charges equaling 30+ hours of music. It comes with a baggie full of different size ear pies I found the right one that holds an amazing fit which is great because I enjoy running.A few suggestions: Case is large, wish the ear buds would auto turn off when I take them out of my ear and would like to see wireless charging.

I've owned these earbuds for several months, including the two times I sent them back to Shure for repair or replacement (one side refused to connect or play). They appear now to be working as designed. But only if I continually press the buds lightly into my ears do they yield a reasonably full, rich, and crisp sound. Otherwise they sit loosely outside the ear canal and sound like cheap tinny speakers. I spent $40 on two types of alternative sleeves from Shure, but none keep the buds inserted well enough in my ear canals, or firmly against them. The buds also just barely muffle ambient noise, even with Environmental Mode off, so the passive noise reduction should be dismissed as pretty meaningless. In addition, I can press the buttons to start or end my music. The only downsides I can see to these earbuds is if I wear them for too long. My ears start to hurt once I have worn them for more than 2 hours at a time. These earbuds have changed my mind about Bluetooth headphones. I am definitely enjoying the features, the quality of sound, and the ease of use. I highly recommend them!

These earphones Shure sound great, but the charging case is
28 October 2021

These earphones sound real good, but out of the box the sound signature is mostly neutral with a higher emphasize on the highs. The lows are decent, but not enough to impress any bass head. Luckily with the app you can apply an EQ to the earphones to customize the sound. I used their bass boost present and found it was too strong for my tastes. Thankfully, Shure thought about this and gave the user the option to customize the intensity of the preset. I toned it down to less than 50 percent and now these earphones bump. The bass sounds tight and controlled and it doesn't sound muddy like those other earphones with "bass boost" options. Where you get bass, alright but it sounds like farts the higher you boost that bass. I find it impressive the tiny driver in these buds can deliver such punch lows while still retaining detail in the mids and highs. The battery life on these Aonic 215's are real good. I was able to get the 8 hours advertised on a single charge, but I never really let these things drop to low because I kept them in the charging case when I wasn't using them. The charging case is nice for storing the earphones, but I personally found it to be quite clunky. The size of the case is on the larger size and while they do fit in some male jeans, it is not comfortable to do so. You can stick these on a lanyard if you want, but I don't think I can pull off that style. Anyways aside from the chonky size, putting the buds in the case takes some fines. Not because you need a PHD, but because they go in the case in a very particular way which can be easily missed at first. The case also has a red light that lets you know when it's charging and another light in the back that let's you know how many charges you got left before you need to charge the case. It took me 2 hours to charge the case out of the box when it had only one charge left, so the case by no means charges quickly.Overall, these earphones are pretty good but the case could be better.

They are good
4 March 2023

They are good but no perfect. The Aonic 215 earphones are great taking in to account they are Shure lowest earphones. This review is mainly about the TW2. They are good for sound, but the Microphone performance is not what I expected from Shure. If you already have other Shure earphone is great that you use TW2 with them. I got the SE846 and they sound great. I got the TW2 to be able to use them as iPods. Listen to music, making phone calls and even Teams calls. Phone calls in a quiet place are OK, but with a little background noise is not. Also battery life is not that good for their size. The carry case is not big for a pants pocket, and the way they fit in the case it seems that I may break with time.In summary, they great for sound, but not as business earphones.
