Shure BLX24 / PG58 Handheld Wireless System M17

Falling in the footsteps of the incredible sound, reliability, and durability of shure microphones, This wireless mic is the best bang for the buck!Having used SM58s for years, With them taking so much use and abuse from live performances, transporting, different clubs and venues and concert halls, one comes to expect reliability, and consistency with short microphones.They didn't miss a beat with this wireless package! There are some that come in at a higher price, but this was exactly what I needed with the addition of the beta internals and element... The sounds as good as it looks and looks as great as it is reliable!If you're looking for a great wireless microphone that comes in at an equally great price, this is your kit!

The first thing we noticed when setting these up was the build quality is excellent. Setting them up was a breeze. It literally took us seconds with each one and they scan and match channels in a breeze. We're using 8 of these at our church and we're having no issues with them at all. We have not had any cross talk between mics which was always an issue with a complete wireless system before. They sound great and needed very little eq to fit in the mix. Our praise team loves them as all of the mics are now balanced properly.

The retailer (Studiospares) was excellent. The Microphone was rather disappointing though. Sound clarity, I can't fault, but the range is woeful. Dropped out frequently for a wedding speech at a range of fewer than 12 metres. Expected much better from Shure, will be switching back to senheiser

A good starter mic but limited features

I had a large event coming up and needed an additional mic to run for one of the visiting performers. My local Guitar center did not have a large selection of wireless mics and the price seemed to be a good deal. When opening the box you are greeted by the SHURE name practically everywhere. the excitement builds as you tear open the packaging. (some of us are that way lol) Then I get to the goods. the mic is lightweight...like scary lightweight. I can tell from the getgo that this setup is all plastic minus the windscreen/ No way would this survive any normal drops. The receiver is equally light and felt like it wouldnt be stable. I also didn't see anywhere to attach a rackmount either unless you rigged it with double sided tape. Honestly after looking it over and not seeing an antenna my expectations dropped quickly about this package. I get past that initial fear and hook up the mic to check out the sound. I have experiences with both SM58's and PGA58's and there isn't a world of difference in real world applications. You would expect the wireless mics to resemble that right? I honestly felt like this mic has a wet blanket over the top of it. Several eq changes later I got it semi under control but still felt dry and boomy. I plugged up a PG58 and had to do far less Equing. I ended up not even using the mic for the show because I was worried about the singer standing out in a mix or being down a mic after it got dropped.I ended up returning the mic and ordered the BLX24R/SM58. You get alot more for your money with that setup including a rackmountable all metal receiver WITH removable antennas, and a SM58 version of the mic that feels heftier and not as cheap and lightweight. It feels like you are getting a higher level unit overall. being rackmountable is a big plus! In my opinion you should def skip the BLX24/SMpg58 and reach deeper into the wallet for another 100. You will honestly feel alot better about your purchase!~

GREAT Purchase

This was a great purchase. I'm a mobile DJ and I have been looking for a new wireless microphone for quite a while. My cheaper microphone gives static whenever it is slightly out of range or there is not a direct line of sight. I decided to purchase this microphone because of the price point and the Shure name brand. I wanted something nice and of quality but not too expensive. It turns out this was the perfect choice. I've used this mic twice in the last 5 days and I haven't had an issue out of it. In fact, I've gotten compliments on how crisp and clear it sound. I would definitely recommend this microphone.

Great Mic Addition

This unit was a nice addition to our sound system. Easy install and setup. Works great throughout our sanctuary area and connected fellowship hall. B&H also comes through with great pricing.

I did buy ths product again

Despite a few connectivity drops and distance issues with my first one, which I now attest to the channels I had set, I purchased a 2nd one when it was on sale. Used 2 of these at the same time with unique mics and receivers and they worked great together. Cuts down on wiring across the stage and makes your singers more mobile. I purchased separate vs combined because 1) I already had one 2) when purchasing a combo, if the receiver goes out, you lose both mics. Greater risk of a single point of failure.I color coded each mic u and unit to help keep track of how they are paired up. Great wireless mic for the price. I recommend.

I would buy this product again!

I had been struggling with an unreliable Audio Technica wireless mic for a few gigs. I had a flury of weddings coming up & bought this to upgrade based on reviews, Shure quality & Taylor Alexander's recommendation (G.C. Call Center) for my uses & needs. Right out of the box it was easy to scan to find the best channel. At the first wedding, an airport venue, it located a different channel as a best result. It was perfect. Locked in, never wavered, great sound, easy for guests to use for blessings, toasts, speeches. My only regret is not pulling the trigger & buying it sooner instead of struggling thinking I was doing something wrong with the Audio Technica unit. Love it!! Thanks Taylor!

This mic is awesome!

I recently bought this to have a portable set up, so I can sing through my Bose speaker. This is actually my first mic I bought and I'm quite impressed with it! I'm usually more self-conscious when I go into my falsetto or head voice, but this made the notes quite clear and sound well! I love this mic.Also, when I set this up, I didn't really read any instructions (I'm one of those people that hates reading those 😂). Through trial and error a couple of times, I got it to work and thought it was pretty self-explanatory. #sweepstakes
