As a small multi op DJ company I cannot recommend the shure slxd highly enough! The frequency scanning makes life easy, even for a novice that's not experienced in using wireless mics. In over 200 events using the slxd system I've never had a mic drop out, even if I forget to scan the frequencies, or don't have direct line of sight. I even once used the instrument pack as a wireless daisy chain from speaker to speaker in a seperate room. Other than a minute delay it worked flawlessly. I do highly recommend the recharging station and battery pack to accompany this unitSlxd j52 band beta 58

We decided to go wireless, with a little concern that it may introduce more variables and opportunities for static or dropouts.After initial success with SLX, I added this, which has beed great success. Love the freedom, strong signal, and full and crisp sound. Sounds better than our quite old wired mics. I was a little concerned if it would pickup stage monitor sound which are right in front of us (wondered if SM58 would be preferable) , but that is no issue whatsoever.Just added the rechargeable batteries and docking stations and it EVEN BETTER. It provides more precise time estimates of remaining battery power, which are reasonably accurate. A little extra investment but worth the simplicity and ease of keeping everything charged sufficiently.

I love using this system. Being able to pull the system up on the laptop is so simple. The quality of great. When traveling just make sure to scan each place you go!
The Shure SLXD mic system is a great upgrade to the older SLX system. The setup is fast with open frequency scans in less than 10 seconds. It's also nice that this unit scans for both mics at once. The mics have a nice professional feel to them. The all metal housing of the mics is a great feature. Battery life is great at over 7.5 hours. Sound is just as good as a wired mic. Very happy with this series.
My Sure wireless microphone system is top notch. I love it. It worked flawlessly from the time I plugged it up without me having to change the channels. I'm really considering ordering another one just to have when I get those requests for three to four microphone set ups. Thanks B&H
I've been using Shure wireless systems since the days of the UT series. When I saw the announcement of the SLX-D systems I was anxious to add some new systems in the lower frequency bands. The SLX-D works great as a stand alone system but Shure has chosen to only support the SLX-D with Wireless Workbench 6 in the offline mode. The manual states that remote monitoring and control is supported with the SLX-D but only with third party apps. The best info I can get from Shure is that they are not planning to support network deployment with WWB6 and the SLX-D. So if you are looking for automatic deployment and remote monitoring with WWB6 and the SLX-D you are out of luck. I hope that changes but I have been given no hope so far.

The best wireless for the money! Works flawlessly and sounds like Shures top end models. Not as many channels as the top boxes but most people wont ever need that flexibility.
In my opinion Sennheiser and Shure are the best when it comes to microphones. I had to make a tough decision because I am a Sennheiser lover. I am so happy that I chose these units. These units are easy to install right out of the box. Make sure to watch the videos, because it will probably clarify a lot of answers that you may have. My first time using them was this weekend and the sound and clarity was amazing!! I didn't get a single squeal off these mics, no matter where they were moved to. I didn't have to do much EQing. I didn't have a single drop the entire event! For the price and compactness this item is hard to beat! The turn off and on button is easy access.
