I was looking to pick up a second SM58 to pair with my older workhorse. This mic does everything you need it to do. It sounds good live, studio, and for family karaoke. I was super elated to find the new all black version and put in my order quickly. The king is back and this time in black. If this mic is not in your collection, you don't have a collection. #sweepstakes

Good utility vocal mic

Got an SM58, 2 SM57s and a Rode NT2. I use the Rode on vocals when the bass frequencies need filtering. The SM58 is a good quality vocal mic that I use a lot. The 2 SM57s I use as instrument mics (stereo using both together). Never needed any other microphones. Would recommend all 3 mics for durability and decent quality.

Industry staple

Saw that the legendary SM58 got a limited edition, all-black makeover, and had to get one. There is a reason the SM58 is still on every audio/visual job site, and in the mic locker of every live music venue: it is THE industry staple vocal microphone! #sweepstakes

Like Zeus weilding lightning bolts, he deftly precisely throws his microphone towards The Audience snatching it back to himself, only to twirl it amazingly two then three times to hurl it once again back at them. There has never been a harder working Mike in the business. And 50 years later it still has no equal. Aside from the Les Paul, or Strat, it remains one of the best things to ever solidify Rock and Roll as an art form or a religion.

Sure SM-58

Overall:I have been in working bands since the early 70's. Have used 58s for vocals since the beginning. Never had one fail ,even after hitting the floor. Nowadays the bands I'm in cant afford soundmen so I mix from stage . They are easy to EQ and get a good sound without worrying about feedback from monitors or FOH. Highly recommended.

The ONLY mic I will use for live vocals.

I have relied on Shure microphones for 25 years and they have never let me down. I depend on a crisp, clean representation of my voice when performing and Shure delivers that and more, adding a delicate enhancement and clean definition. I won't be caught on the act without my Shure!

This is a great product!

I work in events for a school so we are always needing good quality microphones and sound. Shure mics are the best in the game. They connect seamlessly to our devices and produce a very crisp sound. They also last for a long time and are super user friendly (even the kids can set them up). We use them for performances, school assemblies, podcasts, etc and they work great for all our needs. We are happy happy users and will continue to purchase products from shure! #sweepstakes

I'm pretty sure this is the best mic I've ever used. I've used the sm58 for a couple years now for work, so I decided to get one of my own and I'm not disappointed. Very clear vocals. #sweepstakes
