I compared many lenses in this range, and it came down to these and the Tokina Vistas. The Tokina's had a beautiful image, but for $6k a lens, I was sure if the value was there. So I pulled the trigger on a set of these sigmas, and I couldn't be happier. It's the best value for the dollar. I've used their art photo line, but these seem to have a better resolution, they are crispier, and the bokeh falls off like butter. You won't find a better value for the price. The next level up is $6-7k, then $10k

This 35mm Cine lens has completely changed not only what I use on a shoot-to-shoot basis, but the entire look of everything I shoot. It's the perfect focal length for interviews in 4k and I've also been using it for handheld shoots and B-Roll.Yeah, it's a prime so you have to walk around or move your tripod to get the close up or wide, but for the quality of the image it's worth it.The 35mm has created a new cinematic look to my work and I'm saving for more from this family to replace my older Canon photography lenses. Can't recommend enough! Sharp, clean, amazing depth of field and bokeh. Don't hesitate!

Great lens, I have the sigma art zoom lens. But I love prime lenses. I would definitely grab this again along with the 50mm. Used this lens on my RED

If you're doing a prime lens, you'll be fine. The color is good and it's crisp. It has less cat's eye than a canon cn-e and Zeiss CP. A Sigma cine zoom lens is another story. The focus breathing is real!
The Sigma 50mm T1.5 is simply a wonderful lens for me, I use it on every shoot. It works perfect for high-end commercials but is also wonderful for doc shooting since it has a shorter pull than it's competition. It has an 82mm thread on the front allowing early filter additions when using teleprompter and a mattebox can't be arranged. The Glow in the dark paint for the markings was really useful when it came to shooting an independent film in limited lighting.I would recommend a set of Sigma Cine Lenses to anyone who needs to be versatile but is sick of the poor performance of stills glass.
I just started using the Sigma FF lenses and shot in a very humid location. No internal condensation seen. These lenses have a much higher resolution as far as sharpness and critical focus goes as compared to my previous cine style lenses. Robust build to say the least. I haven't noticed any chromatic aberration at all. Looking forward to using these on feature work!
In the end the lens was unusable. I've already spoken to your staff about the issue & they should see all the problems in their report. Please reach out to me to discuss the issues with this lens. I'm very curious if they're able to recreate the flickering issue I had with this lens.
I actually purchased the 24, 50 and 85 version of this lens. This thing is built like a tank. Picture quality is beautiful and works great with our Z Cam E2 F6.
This lens is breathtaking. At T1.5 it gets a fantastic creamy look that is not achievable with the 85 or 135. I highly recommend.
I've been renting from Lensrentals for the past few years. They are my first choice in getting the gear I need for a shoot.

Sigma 28mm T1.5 Cine Lens For PL Mount /i-Technology
The enhanced 28mm T1.5 FF High-Speed Art Prime 2 Lens from Sigma combines the same high-quality optics and mechanics of its FF prime line with a cine-oriented design, and it now utilizes Cooke /i Technology that provides lens metadata to assist in post and visual effects production. This 28mm prime with a PL mount is a wider focal length in the series, offering full-frame sensor coverage, 6 to 8K resolution, lens markings in feet, and a T1.5 aperture in a compact, relatively lightweight form. A common 95mm front diameter and similar physical attributes across the lens line makes it easier and quicker to mount lens accessories such as matte boxes, follow focuses, and lens control motors. The 9-bladed iris produces pleasing out-of-focus bokeh effects, and ghosting and flaring have been minimized. Color reproduction is standardized for easier color correction. Each lens in the range offers consistent lens gear positions and 180° of focus barrel rotation. The FF High-Speed Art Prime lenses also feature a clickless iris with linear markings, dampeners on each gear ring for silent operation, industry-standard 0.8 MOD gear pitch, and engraved markings for durability.
