I have never owned a PS3 (it's on my list), but as a huge Silent Hill collector, I added this to my order to get me closer to free shipping. Shockingly, it IS new and sealed! Arrived in gorgeous condition, and it is a lovely addition to my collection. So happy to have found it here!

I had a lot of fun with this game, I really did. When I got an itch to play Silent Hill, I was super excited to find out I could play this PS3 bundle edition for a fair price. I had heard so many great things about the franchise. I was actually nervous about playing it though because I thought it'd be so scary. This game in particular was awful only because it wasn't finished by the developers. Porting this game went terrible when It could have been a remastered masterpiece for the PS3. If you played Silent Hill 2 on the PS2 you will notice a big difference in a lot of things missing in this port. I gave up my PS2 copy a long time ago for this port. I regretted it and bought it back recently. yeah I spent 150 but im glad I have it now. I got rid of my Ps3 port.

I was super excited to get this as a sealed copy. 100% happy with it. Im going to put it in my collection and I would absolutely encourage you to purchase one from here if youre on the fence about it. So happy.
This has a big history of being a terrible port, but the patch that’s available if connected to the internet does fix a lot of issues. Only had one crash with Silent Hill 2. If you can’t play the Enhanced Editions on PC, or the originals on PS2, this is your best option! Note that the Xbox 360 version of this collection is more broken and wasn’t fully patched.

More worrying though, the games have aged very poorly with the combination of tank controls (thank God they disappeared in recent times) and the clunky combat system proving a major hurdle which some players undoubtedly will never climb. Despite the problems though these remain pinnacles of survival horror and Silent Hill 2 is possibly one of the greatest stories told in video gaming, still being analysed to this day for its hidden subtexts. They are well worth playing for any true gamer, but beware; if you didn't play them the first time round their old school design can seem archaic and less enjoyable now. For the rest of us though, rose tinted nostalgia makes this a welcome return to a franchise that was never better than with these two games.
