Overall, I’m not impressed. The price isn’t much different than other choices. SP is really lacking in detailed information that most serious users need to have to make their best choice. It is certainly the blackvue's issue as this card is the third to do the same thing. First being the manufacturers card OEMed with the product, second being one of the fastest on the markets costing more for the premium, and I thought a cheap entry level card should be given a shot as well. Desktop was reading it at about 20MB/s and writing near 15MB/s Sony Vaio 2 in 1 was reading it at about 40MB/s and writing near 20MB/s

I installed both SD cards in my laptop and was able to retest using Cristal Disk Mark in UHS mode. After reformatting the Silicon Power UHS 1/ Class 10 SDHC card returned sequential speeds of 72.03mbps read and 38.87mbps write and the other UHS 3/ Class 10 SDXC card returned sequential speeds of 87.63mbps read and 47.57mbps write. Both cards felt equally speedy in the camera when shooting 1080 video and recording HD photos. This Silicon Power SD card comes with a full size adapter, a lifetime warranty, 32gb capacity and a ridiculous price. 5 eggs.

I like most have a bunch of these and some are better than others as far as speed, quality of filming (yes it does make a difference) and this one is 3 out of 13 that works flawlessly across all my platforms including DSLR 1080p recording. Yes if you use the right file size it actually transfers at speed it's rated at and it's fast on all other size files. For me the real test after doing transfers is how it performs in tablets for playing movies, running programs and then to my DSLR test on my Canon T2i ( never have done software upgrade). This works flawlessly and the video as no flaws other than my skill plus add to that I could run video all times and never hesitated, only 2 others have done so well and many I have tested that claim to be class 10 don't come close to meeting all standards. I could upgrade the firmware on the camera but then sure they wouldn't stop running but I wouldn't know until editing about the quality so I choose to leave it alone and only use cards that pass the test. The other positive is that being a micro I can use it in anything I choose and use adapter to use it in full size SDHC devices. This is actually the best card I have now and runs smooth. It is a good buy

I have this in both the 32gb and 64gb versions. The speeds were similar between both. The main difference was that this 32GB version came formatted in FAT32, with 28.9GB Free space. I am happy with the read/write speeds. The only way you will get faster write speeds is if you buy a U3 rated card. I did also test this 32GB card in my Samsung Galaxy Note 4 phone, using its 4K video recording and it had no problems keeping up. Although my Note 4 phone does compress the video before it writes to the card. PRICE: The price today (6/21/2016) is among the lowest I have seen for a quality card from a major player coming in at less than $0.25 per GB - with free shipping. I would guess this may be a limited-time opportunity and could be related to SP trying to increase its US market presence. They have been around since about 2003 but I have not seen a lot of these in the US till recently. I was getting read speeds around 40 MB/s and write speeds in the 10-15 MB/s range, however my equipment is a little on the older side. I do think that read speeds close to advertised are possible with this card, and 85 MB/s is extremely fast… in the ballpark of the original SATA hard drives. Write speeds are a little disappointing, but satisfactory for real world applications. The SD adapter worked fine in an external card reader. All the media I tested played perfectly from the card, including 1080p video. The one unpredictable intangible at this point is longevity. I could only test the card for 30 days because of review limitations. Died after 1.5 years in a treacherous and stealthy way. It would be better if it died in an open and explicit way. I wouldn't be misled then and didn't lose a lot of my new photos and records. I would then just replace the card. But it looked like it worked OK, and I trustfully continued to "use" it for very long time. I didn't even suspect that it didn't write any new data on it. I was very unhappy to find out that all last information was lost. Now I cannot format it, cannot write new files or delete old ones. They are far lower than advertised "Up to" 15 and 40 MB/s. I guess they mean some theoretical, laboratory, not real-life speed. But, as I said, probably my non-UHS equipment is to blame. Anyway, it is a little higher than C10, and Copy/Paste speed is just 11 times slower than that of my very good ST3000DM001 HDD. In conclusion, if you don't need very fast card and short of money, I would recommend this card - it is OK. Provided it will not die, of course, like mine did.

The card being UHS Speed class 1 also helps with reliability when taking video. Price point for this card is good. However if you are a memory hog like I am and need to store endless amounts of pictures, and HD video you may want to invest in an SDXC microsd card with a higher capacity. I copy and pasted three different 20GB+ MP4 files to/from this card three times each on my Windows 10 laptop with a USB3 SD card reader (using the included full-size adapter). I averaged the speeds out to come up with the 77.6 MB/s read and 23.3 MB/s write speeds. I did NOT measure speed with small-file transfers since those can be hit or miss for each person depending on the number and size of each file. For a general, generic review I prefer to provide and see sustained single-file transfer speeds. Overall I am very happy with the card. The price is great as of the time I write this review and the performance is as expected. Yes, write speeds can always be better, but in my experience flash cards always read a lot faster than they write. It's the nature of the game.
