I bought this product as it was the one that was discontinued at the time I purchased it. I bought this product to make sure that my dog is protected from ticks and worms. However, unfortunately my dog refuse to eat it. He’s a Jack Russell. So naturally I try a lot of methods trying to get him to take it. I try to wrap the tablet in cheese and he eventually ate it. I wished the tablet size is a lot smaller though. Due to the size, it has been a mission trying to get him to take it.
Our dog has never had fleas, ticks or anything, so we assume the tablets work well. As for getting him to take them , it's bribery every time. Cream cheese , ham, and then hold his mouth shut , gentle massage, until he swallows.Definitely not easy.
On the plus side, I'm told that if you have missed a few of the monthly tablet, due to the accululative effect of the heartwork meds in this one, it's better than Nexguard for recommencing monthly treatments as Nexguard kills them outright which can be bad for the dog's heart if they actually have heartworm. So to be on the safe safe I started her on this until we go to the vet for a checkup. This chew lacks the flavour of Nexguard Spectra, apparently (I had to put it in her food). It's about $10 cheaper for a 6 pack. I may go back to Nexguard after the next vet visit, but this seems to have a good reputation too.
The only one my dog takes happily. Tried other brands that he hated- takes these like a treat🐶 great value also with the bonus pack 😎
I forgot to give my boy his tablet hidden in his tea and he just crunched it up with no hesitation. Admittedly, he'll eat anything even remotely edible (do not ask me about that time I caught him with the remains of a decomposed carcass) but I choose to believe it's because the tablets are palatable.I also really like that I can buy a years supply at a discounted rate and giving him a tablet that covers everything once a month is just so easy.I've included a photo of him for the dog tax.
Bought this for my two staffies when i was at my wits end with trying to get rid of the fleas. 2 days after, not a lea in site. A week later, no more scratching! Works brilliantly.
Trio is a good product. Would have been good for the right product to be packaged first time.Has been sorted after 2 deliveries.Didn't get any complimentary product for the stuffing around.No worries.
