SK II Facial Treatment Gentle Cleanser 120g

I first used this over 10 years ago, and recall thinking it was 'ok but nothing great'. Was recently given a trial size when purchasing the 'Brightening Derm Revival' mask and figured I'd give it another go. FTC is a creamy foam cleanser which doesn't strip the skin (I think the ingredients have changed since when I first used it) and lathers up nicely whilst removing light makeup quite effectively. A little goes a long way. However it does contain parabens and alcohol, whilst at the same time having good things in such as Pitera and Rosehip oil - although I'd imagine it's a very minute amount, otherwise this would not foam whatsoever! It's one of those products where you have to weigh up the pros against the cons. The first thing I did was check the ingredients, and I was disappointed to see it contains propylene glycol, and parabens. For a high end brand I really didn't expect such low end ingredients and that was a huge letdown. This cleanser is a creamy consistency and a little bit of product is all that is needed. Once you add water to the cream it makes a nice and soft foaming action. When I use the cleanser my skin felt soft and not overly dried out like some cleansers have left it feeling, however it doesn't remove makeup very well. I would recommend removing makeup before moving onto this cleanser. Overall, I think this was a decent product and had no real problems with it, but due to the ingredients and quality I probably won't be using this again.

I owned this product for three months (on top of samples of it, which I received from the website with my purchase). The cleanser has a light floral scent and the packaging looks minimalistic and luxurious. The cleanser did a good job cleaning off my makeup and did not completely strip my skin. It did nothing for my hyperpigmentation and I didn't notice a visible change in the quality of my skin. However, I have other cleansers at cheaper price points that do the same, if not better. If you have the budget for a $75 cleanser or are seeking a luxury item, then it is nice. However, I would not recommend this if you are looking for an effective cleanser or a budget-friendly cleanser. At this price point, I'd rather pay for medical-grade skincare.

I’ve been using SK-II products for about 3 years. I use this cleanser daily along with the Facial Treatment Clear Lotion, the Essence, the Airy Milky Lotion moisturizer. This cleanser becomes very foamy upon rubbing on skin so you really do not need to use much per washing. IT IS SCENTED. I love the fragrance to it. But if you’re not a fan of scented skincare then this product is not for you. After washing, my face always feels clean and smooth never overly dry. This product as well as the rest of the line is a bit pricey but if you purchase the items directly from their website you get free gifts which I think is awesome.

This was my first time purchasing this cleanser and this tube has lasted me over a year. My skin has cleared so well during the time I have used it. I should mention my skin is sensitive, especially to fragrant products. I keep it minimal. I cleanse every morning with this one in particular and at night after I gym. My skin has never looked better. The fragrance is very minimal. I use a pea sized amount. A little goes a long way!! Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Best facial cleanser ever

This is the best facial cleanser I've ever used. I was converted 20+ years ago and nothing compares. Initially I tried to switch to other products due to the price, but I quickly came back. It's worth every cent. My son had an acne problem - I tried ProActive and Exposed Skincare (both acne treatments and both similarly priced to SKII) and SKII has been the best to clear the acne.

Gentle Cleanser

So far i kinda like this cleanser. It is okay for me. It is a creamy type of cleanser. My skin feels soft and it does not dry out my skin as i have normal to dry skin. But i don't see any major improvement yet to declare this is my holy grail. However, it is so expensive. I don't think i would repurchase this cleanser.

good cleanser but annoying packaging

It’s a really normal cleanser and I’d like to believe that this is making my skin condition better. However, the packaging is just not it. Why are they still using this twist cap?? Water got into the tube accidentally during shower and screwed up the product inside. Now I’m squeezing watery bubbles out of my tube. Cap is slippery too, hate unscrewing and screwing the cap during shower. Wish they could chnage the packaging to be more user friendly

works wonder to my skin

I tend to shy away from skin-whitening products cause it doesn’t sit well with my sensitive skin. But for the sake of this SK-II review, I stuck my neck out and tried SK-II’s Cleanser which is made with Japanese plum extract, a fruit known for its antioxidant and anti-glycation properties. Antioxidants are also great for sensitive skin like mine, because they help to protect it against free radicals that can damage skin cells and cause inflammation.
