Wearing shapewear has always been an uncomfortable and frustrating experience, particularly because of having to constantly readjust fabric rolling down or cinching the body like a sausage. I am really happy to have discovered this short which provides good support and shaping without giving me a muffin top! The low-back detail has a game-changer for me and I've felt comfortable wearing backless/low-back clothing. It's also thin enough so it gives me a smooth, seamless look even under delicate fabrics like my wedding dress.

I've bought spanx and other similar shapeware products before, but needed specifically a low back, bottoms only option for my wedding dress! It was so hard to find it anywhere except for here! I put myself on a wait-list, which is definitely worth doing if It's out of stock when you first look at it. There's really sturdy yet slim side boning that holds the shorts up, so that the front stays a little above my belly button, and it never rolls! The back sits literally riiiiight above my butt crack which is perfect!!! I was looking for shapewear for my wedding and needed something low back. These shorts are just what I was looking for and couldn't seem to find any other similar option for a low-back short on the market - Well done Skims! I'm getting married soon and my bridal dress has a deep-plunging lower back line. Nearly all other options I found for shapewear bottoms were high-waisted, which wouldn't work because it would be exposed in the back. These Skims sheer sculpt low-back shorts were literally the ONLY shapewear bottoms I could find that offered light mid-section shaping AND had the low-back. I tried them out under another dress the other day and they're mostly pretty comfortable. My only complaint (and the reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars) is that after sitting for a while, the mesh texture of the shorts started becoming a little uncomfortable--I could feel the texture of the mesh making an imprint on my skin and wanted to stand up. I bought this to use it underneath my backless wedding dress. It doesnt provide a lot of compression, but i bought it mainly to keep my thighs from rubbing. The fabric is very light and breathable, it has a little hole in the crotch area lol. The length is a little awkward and it rolls a tiny bit. Size down. They could improve it but its great overall
I bought these to wear with my wedding dress that has a really low back, but I still wanted tummy control and smoothing on my bottom half. My dress is crepe fabric, so you can really see everything and these were undetectable at my dress fitting. They are great because there is boning along the sides that give you a great shape from the front, and this must also be what keeps them up without sliding down from the lack of fabric in the back. They fit very securely and the low back is as low as you'd ever need. I am 5'-2" and 138 lbs, bigger on bottom, and a medium was perfect. Highly recommend!
I am naturally a size 10-12 though have a dip between my hip and butt cheek. I had a backless dress for my wedding and found that I needed a bit of smoothing in the hip area to prevent the dip from being as severe. The low back shorts were PERFECT. I bought the size M and L incase the sizing was a bit off. I ended up wearing the L because I didn't want bumps created in other places. They have boning in the sides to prevent them rolling down and they don't have a seem at the end of the short which ensures you have a smooth transition from short to knee. I would definitely recommend if you need a little smoothing. They are not super supportive if you are looking to be cinched in.
These are not going to magically make you skinnier like the other more robust shapewear that Skims has that makes your jeans loose, however they still have very impressive tummy control/minimising effect with such little leverage. These smooth out all the lumps and bumps A M A Z I N G L Y. I would never have had the confidence to wear the dress I wanted to without these. I didn't have very high hopes for these... thinking to myself... how could these possibly work, but they gave me so much confidence. My photo isn't overly helpful, but I also included photos of the dress as on the model. The dress itself was pretty sheer and very backless and these couldn't been seen at all! I'm a size AU14 for reference. Thank you Skims!
I waited nearly 2 months for this item to restock however it was worth the wait. My wedding dress had a low back and was semi sheer so the sheer sculpt short was literally perfect. I used the size chart on the website to determine my size and it fit like a glove. Super comfy to wear and enough stretch to move around easily. It doesn’t really compress like regular shape wear but that’s not why I got it. I highly recommend this product and will be purchasing more from skims due to the quality and functionality being so good. These are really light support, but are perfect to make me feel more secure under my low-back wedding dress. The boning + sticky strips make it a unique product – after hours of searching online while the shade I wanted was out of stock, I couldn't find anything else that does what these shorts do. The product is also really high quality, nice materials, high quality stitching, and attention to detail.On the downside, I do think these run small. I would be an XS according to the size chart, but bought an S based on other reviews. It fits pretty well well and I definitely couldn't have gone smaller in the legs. The legs (despite being quite tight) tend to roll up. I think more silicone grip there could help prevent it.
