I received this skincare free from Influenster and Skin1004 in exchange for my honest review . The Madagascar Centella Ampoule is great if you have sensitive skin that needs a boost. The bottle is beautiful with a bent tip pipette and made of lightweight plastic which makes it great for travel. I was surprised that this one ounce size is relatively inexpensive, and that there's bigger sizes for a better value. Most serums and specialty oils only come in small bottles. As to performance, this is 100% Centella Asiatica essence sourced from Madagascar. Many people have had amazing results with this pure form of the ingredient, from reduction in scars, marks, redness, acne, etc. It's supposed to hydrate, repair skin barrier, and soothe. I've heard it compared to aloe vera and hyaluronic acid. While testing for a few weeks I should have had horrible skin, since I was getting over a cold, the weather changed, I didn't drink enough, I ate junk food and dairy, already have sensitive skin...but my redness and breakouts weren't as bad as expected with all that. I even noticed my lingering tan fading quicker, meaning it may even encourage fresh skin. The texture is comparable to a thin lightweight oil, but feels watery on the skin and leaves a pleasant tacky finish like healthy skin naturally has. It can be used morning and night and layered easily under my other serums and moisturizer, or was great on its own. I am a skin care junkie but have to admit, while I have 100s, maybe 1,000s of face potions, I haven't been using an Ampoule product in quite some time. So when I received this I was excited to squeeze it into my skin care routine! I've been applying few drops/gently patting them into to the skin on my entire face and neck after I use my cleansers and Toner. And I follow it up directly with my Moisturizer and then apply thr rest of my products. This Ampoule is thicker than some I've used and I actually like that alot. It has a smooth consistency and isn't scented which I sometime like in facial products but in this case was glad it wasn't because some of my other products in my routine are. I have "normal" skin for the most part but have been dealing with some dry spots as the weather gets colder and it definitely helps with that. I had a small limple recently and popped it (definitely do NOT recommend doing that) and it worked wonders as a healing product. It's a decent size bottle that should last me quite a while. I travel really often and this means my skin is often subjected to constantly changing environments. I usually break out whenever I travel, or when I’m in places that might have bad air or water quality. I used the Skin1004 Madagascar Centella Ampoule when my skin felt really red and irritated after traveling for a whole day on the train. In the evening after applying this, my skin felt instantly calmed down and soothed. Because it’s winter quite harsh cold conditions, I was looking for something with hydrating qualities as well. If you can feel your acne-prone skin ready to break out or just irritated after a day out, I recommend that you definitely give this a try. You can tell from my video that it does come out a bit watery in texture but still absorbs really well. Without it being sticky or heavy, it still feels like it’s quite impactful and really works. It absorbs really well when you gently rub or pat it into your skin. One tip for travelers- I’d recommend keeping it in its original bottle so you don’t need to transfer or risk contaminating it when transferring to smaller bottles. Just keep the box if you’re worried about the adorable glass bottle breaking. This feels like the next big it-girl skincare item on TikTok so I’m here as a champion before it goes viral viral!

Centella or cica, as it’s sometimes known as, is a well known in some Asian countries and became pretty popular in skincare through K-beauty. It’s said that it can boost collagen, heal scarring and small wounds, reduce redness, etc. The only ingredient in this ampoule is extract from the Centella Asiatica plant, which makes it a product that should be used with other moisturizers rather than on its own. I’ve used this as part of my daily routine for a couple of weeks now and so far, it’s been pretty good. The texture is watery, not thick like serums but also not as thin as actual water. My testing results using this on my cleansed face for 3 weeks as a serum, These are my findings. I love that it comes with a dropper, The plastic bottle doesn’t bother me but in the future we are trying to be aware of our planet and do our best to recycle. After two weeks of use, I have noticed that my pores are shrinking, my skin retains moisture and firmness, and looks healthy. The redness that I can get in the winter around my nose is calm and I love that! It felt a little weird to wear under makeup as well and didn’t work well with the texture of my foundation. At the same time it is more of a watery texture than like most serums. The smell is pleasant and with my sensitive skin I didn’t break out or have any negative effects from use. But I also didn’t see much difference or improvement in my skin.
