Very pleased with the quality of the product. Well made. Beautiful bright attractive colours for a small child. However, the length of the cord attaching the hammer is too short. It's not long enough to be able to actually tap the keys on the xylophone for a child to make their own music. This toy is totally unusable in it's current state.

As a musician, it's very important to me that any musical toys for my child are accurate. I played every one of these the store had (probably around 10), and they all had one note that was a bit off. It wasn't the same note, so it's not like it's a problem manufacturing one of the bars. It's just random inconsistencies in manufacturing. I still bought the one with the least egregious sound because it was either that or my kid wouldn't have any xylophone. The cord on the mallet is also a bit short.

Great quality product. Good size and beautiful colours. Only small negative is the string that the stick is attached to is a bit too short making it difficult to play the last couple notes comfortably

My 8 month old grandson loves his guitar. It helps him with eye/hand coordination while lighting up. He gets so excited and even my grandmother loves the lights and music. Great investment for him.
I bought this for Christmas last year for my son (11 months old). He loved it! The only problem is the cord is way too short, which doesn't allow enough room for babies to bang on the xylophone. It was an easy fix- I just cut the cord off. He uses the mallet to make music and a lot of ruckus. I definitely recommend this toy. The colors are bold, it encourages a love of music and use of motor skills.(Side note: if you pay attention to your children, you can prevent them from gagging on items they stuff in their mouths. My son has never choked or gagged on the mallet.)
We love this glockenspiel. My son got it when he was a year old and still plays with it 3 years later. It has provided hours of entertainment for the whole family because who doesn’t love that charming ting ting sound of babyhood. The only drawback we had when my son was teething, he wanted to walk around with the stick in his mouth which ment I couldn’t leave him with it unsupervised.
I saw the suggested age use of this toy and thought, my granddaughter is smart enough to use this, let me buy it for her. We got it, and she liked the musical notes played on the xylophone, however, the stick is what makes this toy right for the suggested age of 12M. My granddaughter is still exploring toys by sticking them in her mouth. She decided to explore with this toy only to find her lunch on her lap a short moment after. Ahh, thought grandma, this is why this toy is for 12M babies and not my 6M granddaughter. No worries, this toy is being put on hold in her toy chest until she gets a little older.
I bought this a few months ago and there sure is quality issues. The one we received is off tune and we cannot adjust the few metal plates to tune them. We stopped letting our son play with toy because my eye started twitching when he would play with it and it was off tune. Cute toy otherwise.
My daughter just turned 1 & she loves this toy. The colors are nice & bright, caught her attention quickly. It keeps her busy for a while. The string attached is the perfect length. Love that there's round edges! Definitely safe for your little one.
Pick up for this item was really easy … then I got home , opened the bag and saw that they sold me a used toy !!!!! ~ The Xylophone bars are filthy and actually have food or something on them . The handle or stick ( whatever you want to call it ) was detached from the bottom of the little fox and had the ties dangling from the end. The ties were detached from the toy to the box where you normally have to spend a good few minutes breaking the toy free … in fact the ties weren't even there . Someone obviously returned the toy and Target employees tried to pawn it off on me !!!! Who wants to give their baby a used , dirty toy to play with ??????????????? I have no idea where it's been , in who's mouth and dirty hands …. Germs !!!!!
