I rated it 3 stars just because my 1.5 year old daughter doesn't like the feeling of the mat when she is sitting on it. I think the suction parts are a little too bumpy for her comfort. She sits her but on the part where the mat is not and rests her legs on it. In general, I like the mat. I like the fact that it is easy to pull off after bath time and hang from the faucet. I have her stuff set up in the master bath so I have an over sized tub in there. She hasn't slipped anymore since I bought this. She can move around safely and play with the toys around the tub. I personally like it. I just wish it was to my daughters comfort level. The bumps are the killer in the review.

The cutest darn tub mat out there!! We don't have kids but our bathroom is on the decorative side of oceany and this cute whale fit in just great! I hang it on the towel rack. Basically used in the guest bathroom and used for when we have guests. It's a perfect size for our shower which is about the size of a normal tub.

Product is super cute and sticks very well to the bottom of the tub. However, upon getting wet for the first time, the mat became covered in black spots on the top and bottom. They look likeInk spots and come off slightly if scrubbed, but then more appear. They will even transfer to your skin. I don’t know if it’s dye or mold or what. I wish I had purchased it from a store that made reruns easier. Buy buy baby makes getting replacements such a hassle. Never again. I guess I’ll try contacting the manufacturer and throw this one away.

After having different bath mats for my kiddos I decided to try this one doing my research. I thought this seemed the best among others. However pretty quickly, even tho we let it air dry in between uses, I noticed mildew/mold spots underneath. I don’t use it for under my big kids, in part because the grooves are not comfortable for them to sit on, only u see the baby’s bathtub to create a grip. I am disappointed this product and wish it could be exchanged or returned. Although it’s very cute. We have had the whale faucet cover for YEARS and love it tho
I searched for a bath mat when we started bathing our little guy in the bath tub when he outgrew the baby tub. I couldn't find one I really liked and didn't buy one. He finally slipped in the tub from playing (not injuries!) but that meant I really wanted a mat, pronto! I'd been eyeing this before and we have other Skip Hop bath items. This does not disappoint! It stays down perfectly, without being impossible to remove once done. I love that the tail clips around the showerhead for easy storage. It gets to dry and not drip all over the bathroom floor. Best of all it keeps my little one safe while he's having fun in the bath!
First of all, it gave me a cut while trying to stick it to the tub. It sticks except for this one area that inexplicably does not have a suction cup. It softens up and becomes less "dangerous" I guess lol, but there is one area that will just not lie flat. In addition I cannot imagine trying to remove this to hang it to dry every day. I really don't like it and I am a HUGE fan of all other Skip Hop products. But do yourself a favor and don't buy this, as I now have a bath mat that is not going to get used :(
We bought this mat hoping to have a fun replacement for the boring nonslip mat we had in our bathtub. We are thoroughly disappointed. The smell will not suction to the bottom of the tub at all and it has become more hazardous than helpful. We have had it for a little over two weeks and have tried everything to get it to stick, with no success. We are hoping we will be able to return it.
Please do not buy this product. It is advertised as a non-slip mat. WRONG. My daughter had this slip out from under her during a bath and she chipped both of her teeth. Thankfully, she didn't suffer any severe bleeding. This product does not work, do not buy this product please. See the pictures for yourself. Do you want to risk your baby chipping their teeth like mine? Save yourself the thousands in medical bills and buy something safe, which this product isn't.
Our shower floor is super slippery and we needed something to help toddler shower safely. I wanted something that wouldn’t collect mold like the stick-ons sometimes do. This mat is perfect! Good cushion to stand on and toddler does not slip around when standing on it. The grooves and holes help water drain from it. I hang to dry everyday, which has helped to keep it clean
