I received this as a Christmas gift, and was excited to use it. When I set it up the ball kept getting stuck in the hole. The little area that the ball was supposed to return through was too small for the ball to fit in. I returned the product to the store and grab another one, thinking it was just a defected product, but the second one I got had the same issue.

Developing distance control is by way of the progressively shorter alignment lines at the 3, 5 & 7 foot marks. Maintaining a consistent pace or ball speed and intermediate aim point are developed by the same length forward alignment lines. Both the railroad and 90 degree alignment lines help develop a consistent square putter face throughout a straight back and straight through swing. While I wish the plastic hole base was made of thicker plastic to prevent accidental damage by little kids, I highly recommend this exceptional product. Mustang USMC Retired

The amount I paid for it the device could at least send your ball back to you more quickly.The name of the product suggests that it has an automatic ball returnBasically all up I’m not very happy. And not worth the price.

The mat itself is the best part because it doesn’t bunch up. The ball return is ok, and I should have gotten the mirror (which was part of my old putting mat - different brand, no longer made). Needed to replace the old one, returned one because it wouldn’t stay level. This one does.
Works well and has helped improve my putting line by showing up a slight left bias. Sank some nice putts on Saturday from 10, 20 and 30 feet as well as some 3-foot knee tremblers! Would also work well if used with a putting mirror.
This is molded plastic and looks and feels very cheap - you get what you pay for. It does work and it is helpful with the distances marked off on the runner and the ball does return. This works if you're looking for a basic putting practice but if you want something more executive spend more money for one with a wooden base.

When I took the mat out, there were some bumps after laying it out so I waited a few hours to see if it would flatten out on my wood floor. The bumps did flatten out but not perfectly. I decided to put something weighted (overnight) where the creases/bumps were and it has helped smooth things out. After a few days, its much much better but not 100% perfect. As far as the functionality, it's a no frills putting mat. There have been a couple of complaints that the ball return is not working properly. My ball would get stuck every once in a while but a second ball would push it down the "Hot Wheels" track. The return track is probably going to be right at your toes so SKLZ has an opportunity to engineer it to accommodate a left handed player. Other than that, the lines and other reference points have already helped my stroke (I'm a 10 handicap). If I was to give the material a stimpmeter reading, I would probably guess 10ish. To enhance my training, I added an alignment line on my golf balls to help me a good feel for my stroke. The mat lines and alignment area along with the ball line helps me focus on my takeaway and I get immediate feedback on my stroke. The hole on the mat seems very forgiving so I'm not worried about getting the ball in the hole as much as how I get it there.
My partner is THE hardest person to buy for! I was so stoked when I had the last minute idea to get him a putting practice mat. I called my local Rebel Sport shop to check they had it in stock and they were super helpful. My partner loves it as he’s just getting back into golf and needs the practice. It’s a good size with a built in slope and the built in ball return works great! My only criticism is that if you throw out the box (which he did!) it’s hard to store. Would be great if it also had way to fasten the mat when you roll it up and maybe be able to hang it behind a door. Other than that we love it.
This is great. This will help me develop a more consistent and straighter putting stroke. The lines on the material make seeing my putter stroke easier to track and see what I need to straighten out. I am happy with this purchase.
