Skullcandy Crusher ANC 2

The technology of the bass in those headphones is indeed very cool - you can pump it all the way up and the feeling is quite incomparable to anything else I tried before. Your ears and head are literally bouncing! Very interesting feeling that makes you go wow and laugh with amusement. With that being said you won’t really last long with that much bass as your head will start to hurt - you can obviously turn it down to manageable level. I don’t like how when you change the “crusher” modes (bass level basically) on the headphones itself the music stops for a second and only then changes the level - not very great but luckily you can also change it on the app without the disturbance. Sound quality wise I don’t really think they deserve 4 but then again considering the features, especially the cool bass technology, I also can’t justify giving a rating of 3 as in my eyes 3 is rather poor. I’m lacking crisp sound in those, I feel like the music I’m listening to kind is kind of losing its immersion. Overall it’s a solid pair of headphones, nicely built, sleek, with also great travel case I must add.

BEST HEADPHONES EVER!!!

When I say I want headphones, I want headphones that are crisp and BASS! I’ve owned apple products and beat products and NONE compares to these headphones whatsoever. To the point with my ear plug headphones, I’m trying to push them in to hear the bass how I like and with over the ear headphones there’s really nothing that could’ve been done. These headphones not only have the settings to adjust to how you like your music sounding, but you also can adjust how heavy the bass is by the dial and they stay on your head for working out or doing things around the house. Brilliant headphones

Had these for a month and they are great headphones for me, I'll be very surprised if there is better out there.I listen to rock/metal and really like bass heavy sounds. These do not disappoint! The bass is bouncing and if you lay the headphones down, they literally bounce. If the bass becomes to much, which it can at times. You can easily turn this down or off on the headphones themselves.The sound is great with both full bass and without. Of course the bass impacts the other frequencies, I have balanced this to my taste with the app.The app for me is very easy to use. Decent headset with gimmicky features

I previously owned Skullcandy headphones with a positive experience so decided to try them again.The first few times you experience sensory bass will blow your mind quite literally. Though it quickly gets annoying and overpowered so I find myself using maybe 15% of it, which leads me on to my main criticism…The mid and high end is really lacking here, and that could be because of an overpowered low end rather than it not existing. Fake bass

As a pure basshead, those are to be avoided at all cost. Tons of marketing will tell you the bass are unmatched for the price range... Sure. But those bass sounds so fake almost if it adds aonther bass track in every track. Even as crazy as the bass sound, they feel absolutely unatural and gives you an headache, if anything. It tickles, literally, like if you had a subwoofer right next to your ears but at the expense of sound quality, especially BASS QUALITY. Hearing impared

I am a 58 yr old male that has developed single sided deafness due to a benign tumor on my auditory nerve on the left side. I also suffer from noise induced hearing loss on both ears duo my occupation. I stumbled across one of your partners mimi hearing test app, and decided to do a home hearing test using mimi. The results of the haring test were very similar to the results from my audiologist.The mimi app indicated that if I purchased a hearing device from one of their partners, my personal audiogram would be ‘loaded’ into the hearing device to correct for my hearing loss.I was intrigued with this thought, and chose to purchase the ANC2 Crusher headphones. All I can say is WOW! My life has really changed. Now with the Crusher ANC2 headphones, I really can understand everything. I also own the Sony WM1000xm5 and prefer the ANC2’S over Sony. The sound is crisp and even with the bass at 80%, I can understand dialogue.I cannot say enough good about these headphones. Although the target market is the younger gaming/music crowd, grandchildren, don’t let gramps near them if he has used the mimi app. Skullcandy/Mimi, you have a new market. Offering hearing correction for streaming at an affordable price for seniors will be a very welcome byproduct of this gaming set that only needs time to catch on.

Not an upgrade to the previous flagship models

I'm a long time Skullcandy customer. Owned the original crusher wireless and the crusher evos; still do and thoroughly satisfied with the products. Can't say that about the ANC 2 though. The battery life which is advertised as the best in class is by far the biggest disappointment. With the ANC and stay aware OFF I can barely go 2 days on a full charge, Not nearly the claimed 50 hours. I consistently got a week and a half on a charge out of the previous models. The ear cups are considerably smaller than than the crusher wireless and smaller still than the evos' ear cups. This results in acute discomfort setting in within minutes of use. I admit I have big ears but I've never had this issue with the crusher wireless and evos. The wheel to set the base leaves me ... MoreI'm a long time Skullcandy customer. Another devolution from the very effective slider on the previous models. The only redeeming thing about this is the multipoint pairing that the crusher wireless had, was taken away in the evos, but is given again in the ANC2.

Really Disappointed

I rarely leave reviews and hate it when I have to be negative about a product so apologies but you asked me to review and I'm just being honest!I purchased the ANC 2 Crusher's as a friend had recommended Skullcandy. Unfortunately I've had nothing but problems when trying to connect them to my Samsung TV. In fact I just can't connect them. They are found by the tv when pairing but then they just don't connect - I've tried endless times. I have the same issue with the Rail ANC earbuds I bought at the same time. It's infuriating.To be fair, I can connect both to my phone but I like to use the over ear headphones when at home and often when connected to the tv. I will say that these take some getting used to at first. They’ve got a lot of different EQ options and configurations, as well as very unique tuning. However, once you realize that you can have skull shaking bass without losing detail in the mids and highs, it opens up a new world of music enjoyment. I don’t think of these like XTRA BASS tuning as is common on headphones, rather these can actually hit the bass notes that other headphones simply fail at. These have a unique hardware feature of two drivers per ear-cup, and the extra hardware provides a true and full sound. However, there are other reasons to love these. For one, the battery life is INCREDIBLE and beyond my expectations. In over one week of heavy use, about 40% charge is remaining. There are other features I enjoy as well, like multi-point Bluetooth pairing, and the AMAZING and unique voice commands. No other brand that I am aware of provides cross-platform hands free voice control. All I have to say is, “Hey Skullcandy,” and then I can control hardware features and summon the assistant. As part of Skull-IQ updates, Skullcandy even added the Alexa voice assistant as a new feature, and both can be used just by saying different wake words. There are also solid onboard tactile button controls, which provide very reliable and easy to use control over devices. I enjoy that these controls are fully customizable in the excellent app. Overall, I love these because they sound very unique and immersive, while being more convenient and smarter than other headphones.

If you really want the headphones to tickle your ears, you need to set the volume to at least 50% while the Crusher bass is at 100%. They are comfortable and can be worn for hours on end, so they don't clamp down on your ears with an uncomfortable strong grip.The free Skull-iQ app unlocks the functions and features of the ANC 2. You can program the buttons to your phone to do what you want. You can even use voice control with these headphones, and if you have a Spotify account, you can audibly tell the Skullcandy app to open Spotify.Overall, I am very satisfied with these headphones. With the right music, they can deliver more bass than most people can handle, but even without the dizzying bass, they are still a fantastic pair of headphones. Enjoy!
