These fans look so good and to top it all off, I only need 1 cable per row.
Bought this to replace some v1 fans that I bought right at launch over two years ago. I am happy with the improvements as I think they've addressed all of the minor nitpicks I had. The new low profile connector is great for super tight clearance like on my radiator, and the integration of power and rgb into a true single cable makes cable management even neater! I also love that they added a silver cap to the rear of the fan center so that if you had the rear exposed it still looks good. I think the only way this could get better is if the hub somehow became integrated into the motherboard!
When it came down to selecting fans for my build, I was going to go for the ST120s due to the fact that I have used them before and the entire hub and blades illuminate. What steered me away however was the modularity of the SL120s. Being able to link them together and even daisy chain the others is a great feature. Would highly recommend if you do not feel like dealing with multiple fan and ARGB cables.
I have 10 of these fans in my computer and they are perfect. The daisy chain capabilities made them insanely easy to install. It is also great for cable management.
I love the fans. I wish the cables where a tad bit longer. I have 0 slack once its all plugged up in my 011.
Received these fans pretty quickly, upon installation has no light or fan movement. After much fiddling and rearranging, managed to get all the LEDs working and one fan spinning. Thought it might be a bricked controller and bought a new set from amazon, and it turns out that 2 of the fans were DoA.
Love these fans!..thought I would need extentions but they fit fine.
I returned my SL120 V1's and bought these thinking they'd be an awesome upgrade. Boy, was I wrong.To start, all fan connections are proprietary so you can only connect these fans to the box. I use other external fan controllers that, in my opinion, are much better. It's frustrating that i'm now forced to use their specific software.Second, the L-Connect 3 software is awful. It constantly pegs my CPU usage at 20% at idle and jacks my temps up. Never had this problem with the connect 2 software. Running a 5800x3D.I'll be returning these V2 fans and will switch back to the V1s.
