The shoes I am reviewing are my sons 3rd pair in increases size. I started buying all birds during the pandemic. I found out how great of a company threw a truly unheard of kindness of the company. I also struggled with plantar fasciitis and their shoes resolve this and have never reoccurred. I still have the original pair of shoes because they hold up that long. I waited until we needed to throw them in the wash to write a review. Can only say good things about these shoes for my 4yo. He now prefers these shoes given how comfy they are and easy/quick to put on. All for natural material and acknowledging companies that are able to get it right in functionality, quality and material 👌. They didn't degrade after the wash, so even though my husband pokes fun at spending more $$ on our kids shoes than our own, I still think this is a great purchase/investment.

I bought these shoes for my 9 year old daughter because she struggles with stinky feet. In that regard the shoes have been great. This was our first pair of allbirds and I was excited and hopeful about the brand. However, with normal wear to school there is already a hole forming at the toe where the fabric is pulling apart from the bottom. After 4 months. I am so disappointed! Waste of money. Maybe these work for adults but for a kid perhaps they are too fragile? Also the blue in this color comes off pretty easily showing the verigated brown underneath which makes them look dirty. I wouldn’t even care about that though if they didn’t have a hole forming after 4 months. I bought these for my three year old because my fiancé got me a pair for Christmas and she gets so excited when we match! These are hands down the comfiest shoes I’ve ever had and my three year old loves hers. She usually wears an 8 but I got her a 9 cause AllBirds tend to run a bit on the smaller size and I wanted these to last through the spring. We both have wide feet but don’t have issues with the width of the shoe, sized up for the length. I haven’t washed them yet because she has kept them surprisingly clean but I’m so excited to toss them in the washing machine and not worry about ruining her shoes!! I usually buy her cheap shoes from target bc she grows so fast but these are a good investment bc 1. They’re comfy 2. They offer good support 3. My oldest kiddo loves the comfort, but I won't buy a 2nd pair when she grows out of her current pair. Value for the price is a bit off for this kids shoe, IMO. I have to constantly adjust the insole back to its appropriate place as it constantly moves after each use. That's not a problem with her other kids shoes which are much less expensive, e.g. Saucony Jazz Hook & Loop which I have purchased several times for both my kids.I own a pair of Allbirds and several Atoms. I really love that Atoms have elastic laces for easy-on and easy-off. Atoms are expected to release a kids shoe later this year. I'll likely opt to try those for my kiddos.
First off the size chart doesn't capture kids sizes and I'm unable to alter it. The size bought was Kids #2. They fit my particularly petite, adult daughter wonderfully. She loved the shoe and feels she's part of "the Allbird community"!Unfortunately there are few choices without the childlike rainbow laces so we got the solid black ones and she loves them.Please consider going smaller in adult sizes or providing a greater selection in kids.
My 21 mth old loves these All Birds. He enjoys practicing taking them on and off and has 3 different pairs he rotates and picks out for each day of school. He has plenty of other shoes, but he by far prefers his Allbirds. They are lightweight, the elastic laces make the shoes perfectly snug to meet the demands of all his rough and tumble boy ways! This is probably the 6th pair we have bought him.. but at this rate, I'm going to stick with the brand for a while!
These shoes were exactly what I was looking for my one year todler. The main issue is that after just two weeks, and verely any use every other day, the shoes are beginning to show signs of deteriorating. Especially on the front. I can start seeing the glued on the front toe. Is there any way for me to get a refund? For 60 dollars, I was expecting something that is going to last longer than a couple of weeks. Seriously, not worth your money. Hopefully someone from customer support will help me with this.
These shoes are really cute. My son gets compliments on them wherever he goes. He seems to like them too, and often asks to wear these over his former favorites! The only con I've noticed is that they get wet and his whole foot is wet immediately. There is no moisture barrier and I know they're wool but even canvas shoes keep his foot dry walking through wet grass, these don't. Had to convince my husband on the price but I think they're worth it for style alone.
These are worn on short and long walks, on an almost daily basis. They do not itch one bit, even when not wearing socks, which happens most of the time. All that comfort comes without sweat or blisters, because the wool fabric molds your feet as they move. I also noticed the short shoelaces that do not need to be flopping around or tucked inside the shoes. They are the ideal length and their stretchy texture makes them a cinch to tie, even on the presto mode. They are an all-around 5-star champion.
