I love the SmallRig. This product helps me place my monitor, external mic and LED light on my camera in an easy setup.When I do my video work the SmallRig really helps with placing my other gear around the camera.

Like many who order this cage, all it took was holding a fellow videographer's SmallRig setup to become convinced this was a necessary addition to my kit. From mounting an external monitor + shotgun, to adding some extra heft and stability for handheld, run & gun footage, this thing may also be the cheapest one-time insurance policy you can get for you camera in terms of protection. What irks this young filmmaker is the price tag of all SmallRig accessories. It's quality, to be sure, but $50 for the rubber handle (if one were to buy it separately) seems a touch excessive. Great qualityFeels greatDocking one star cus it came w no instructions on how to mount it around your camera, luckily the process was simple enough once i saw a couple of youtube videos. Still instructions of any kind would have been appreciated but the product itself is amazing
Like many A7iii video shooters I was looking for a way to protect the flimsy mini hdmi cable the camera uses. This cage does a great job at that but I gave it 3 stars because I found it wasn't worth the sacrifice of limited button access on the upper right side of the camera and clunky lens removal-plus the added weight. I ended up going with an aluminum T-bar to carry mics and monitor and a strain relief clip for the mini hdmi and a bottom mounted XLR adapter. Otherwise, this is well built and you can hang a ton of stuff from it.
I've been debating about getting an L-Bracket or a cage for quite some time. At first I thought it was another pointless gear purchases - boy was I wrong. It is so much easier to shoot handheld and attach my monitor to the the handle. For what it's worth, it makes your setup look more intense (and for some clients, that is a big factor as silly as it sounds). Will always be buying cages for all my cameras going forward.
Simple, durable cage with ridiculous amount of customization options. I bought with NATO rails, wooden side grip, and top handle. Gives me great weight balance to go along with the IBIS of the A7III.
This is a good cage, strong, fits perfectly and no camera moments at all if you install it correctly. Had it for a while now no complaints at all. recommended
A great tool for a better grip when shooting video and all the sockets you need to build out a nimble but sturdy DSLR Video Camera.
Looks great, build quality is really good, extremely functional... how modular the small rig system is great... I now have random small rig parts I can configure my rig per shoot if I need...
