Use the Shoulder Pad Pro from SmallRig to quickly switch between handholding your cinema camera and mounting it on a separately available VCT-14 tripod adapter plate. The Shoulder Pad Pro features a durable aluminum baseplate, and a comfortable, integrated silicone shoulder pad allows you to handhold your camera for long periods. The baseplate features include front and back 15mm LWS rod support, ARRI-style rosettes on both sides, and multiple 1/4"-20 accessory threads. The bottom of the plate features a V-lock-style VCT-14 wedge to mount onto an optional VCT plate. The included Manfrotto 501 plate features measurement markings, and it slides back and forth up within a 3.1" range to balance your camera on your shoulder or rig. The front 15mm rod clamp can be adjusted vertically 0.9" to ensure the proper 15mm rod height for certain cinema cameras. The Manfrotto plate features 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 camera mounting screws, and a flat wrench that stores under the baseplate secures the camera screws.

Great product - works as expected. Very good value for FX 6 shoulder rig. Adorama sales team did a good job in helping setting up the parts for the shoulder rig.
The build quality is great. The use and function especially for switching between setups is exactly what's needed. I can compliment this unit for many things, BUT there's one element of the design to take into consideration before buying. Depending on the rig you have, you may want to pass this. Wide body setups (Pocket 4K/6K series, Canon C70, Ursa Mini, etc.) may have a little bit of a struggle with this one. The sliding/mounting plate does not sit flush with the rest of the shoulder unit and this is a problem. If you have a rig that weighs in over 15 lbs, then you'll notice some rocking. I found this on my Pocket 6K production rig because the baseplate of my Tilta cage, is wider than the sliding plate of the shoulder pad pro. For anyone using this in company with a VCT plate on a tripod, dolly, or (and especially) a steadicam/stabilizer system - the results can be dangerous and costly. So if you have a heavier setup (15+ lbs) then you might want to look at some other offerings with a flush plate to unit design.
RED's solution for a shoulder mount was... nonexistent.RED's base with platform pack just isn't a solution for me off a tripod.I use this for an easy release from tripod to shoulder.
The photos don't really do the size of this should pad justice. This is definitely designed for large ENG or cinema cameras in mind. It is way overkill for small, mirrorless cameras.That being said, it does feature a brilliant number of mounting options. It's an extremely versatile shoulder pad. Unfortunately, it was more shoulder pad than I needed.

Really great. I used it with an A7siii but I'm sure you can use it with much much heavier camera setups. The quality and finishing touches are beyond expectations.
