Precisely designed, no sharp or rough surface which slides in and out subtly on my camera. Sufficient cheese holes for the attachments. A ten on ten cage at the affordable price.

Cornering the Market

With the only cage (at the time of this review) currently on the market for Sony's flagship A1, is hard to compare it to anything. However like SmallRig's other cages it's aim seems to be: keep it small. And they've done that. It adds almost no weight or bulk to your camera, but brings dozens of ways to mount and attach accessories and gear. I only wish it were a little more of an encompassing cage for the sake of feeling like it's protecting the camera.

It's perfect for the A1

I saw the other comment staying its not good for the A1 with battery compartment. I can confirm it's a perfect fit with no issues at all. What possible went wrong for that person: They didn't screw in the top tiny screw on upper right side. This is easily over looked and would keep the camera from sitting properly in cage.

Nice build but does not fit a1 nicely

Battery door can't open nicely due to the plate not align perfectly with the a1

No flex. Solid, light and fitting your hand nicely

This is a better cage from SmallRig than their 3669 design, which puts a securing screw through the left strap lug. The right side of the 3369 tends to bend slightly when you twist it.This cage has a screwing screw through the RIGH strap lug to stiffen the top mounting plate. You don't feel anything twisting when using a heavy top handle setup.
