I first became aware of the product by a review that Caleb Pike had posted and he thought it was a good product. I currently use the similar but slightly larger SmallRig head #3457B so I am very familiar with the operation of this product. What does impress me about the CH20 is the inclusion of a leveling base. So often when I am in the field ,getting the camera level is a real chore, having to readjust the tripod legs. My camera is the Lumix GH6 and fitted out with cage, top handle and lens and other items, it can become rather heavy, so a good fluid head can be very helpful. First off, this is not a true fluid head. My Gitzo Fluide head is a true fluid head because it contains fluid inside that can be controlled to adjust the drag and tilt. There is no drag ... I wish someone would make a proper fluid video head for these small cameras as their capabilities continue to improve. The SmallRig heads are OK, I just wish they were a true fluid head.

It's not a fluid head, but it is still a great video head. I was looking for a small head to go on my lightweight tripod and this thing works perfectly. Highly recommend.

I use this head when shooting with the Nikon Z30 and other small, hybrid cameras. It's perfect for a small kit (obviously what it is intended for.) For on location, classical music recording, we general only man one camera, and preset a larger number of static shots. having this tiny head plus a SmallRig smooth focus which we use for smooth zoom in the kit is wonderful. Light; small; easy to deploy; high quality.The adjustments are simple, the knobs feel good; leveling base is invaluable.

It is really nice to have a leveling base on this. I would have liked it more if the video head was like 3457 with that option to rotate de Arca-Swiss to use cages directly. Maybe on a future version.
More control than a ball-head ....great engineering and silky smooth.
