#smartwoolLove I wore these socks on a 10 km hike today. It was 5 degrees C(42 degrees F) outside. My feet were the perfect temperature. Not too hot or cold. The socks did not move inside my boots. My feet were as comfy as could be. I prefer to wear midcalf height socks hiking but many of the customers that come into our Smartwool store in Whistler Canada want ankle height socks. This is the perfect hiking sock for them.

The Smartwool Women's Performance Hike Light Cushion Margarita Ankle Socks are a great companion to your light hiking adventures. I typically prefer my hiking socks to be at the crew length, but this is a great option for those warmer days or when you leave your hiking boots behind. This soak pairs well with trail running and/or hiking shoes this sock has cushion for long days on the trail or lounging around on a winter day. Would recommend!

Love the padding / cushioning in the right places, such as the heel (where I’ve gotten a blister). Size medium pair is perfect for a size 7.5-8 foot size. The sock is thicker then I thought. Perfect for a cool fall and winter hikes. I’d go for a thinner pair for warm days. The fabric is wool therefore it will keep you cool anyhow. It is a matter of preference. Socks are comfortable and feels like my feet are being hugged. I look forward to buying more products from Smartwool!

I'm a long time Smartwool sock wearer (#smartwoollove) - Got these as a gift, usually don't choose ankle socks (I prefer higher socks) but was happy to see these aren't too low on the ankle. Very comfy with the added blister protection, and the sage colour is so pretty! Would wear these on easier walks/hikes when I'm not needing to wear my taller hiking boots. The light cushion on the bottom is always my favourite for comfort too, not too thick but nice and cushy on your sole.
I generally love Smartwool socks. I have tons of them. These socks, however, are not lightweight. They are quite thick and make it nearly impossible for me to get my feet into my favorite hiking boots and waterproof trail runners. So basically they're rather useless, since they're low-ankle socks. They're too low to be worn in the winter but too thick to be useful in the summer.

Soft like butter.. no.. clouds; wrapping, cushioning (in all the right places)- on my feet. They don’t slide, they don’t bunch, they don’t give me blisters, and even after warm Florida days hiking in the sun, they don’t smell! I’m on my feet a lot as a nurse, and while running or in moments of rest, at rest, they give comforting hugs.In all seriousness, I have never loved a pair of socks more than these! I have now received more as gifts for Christmas and bought some as gifts as well once I realized how much a pair of socks can literally cause happiness and joy. I never regret getting a Smartwool sock and this was no exception. The ankle height was nice for the cool autumn weather and I've been wearing them on my commutes to work and school and are not too hot or too cold on these walks. I've worn them with hiking shoes on one hike so far and there was no slipping of the sock inside the shoe and the merino wool is always good for temperature regulation and moisture management. I have the dark Sage colour and love it so I would not hesitate to buy other colours! #SmartwoolLove
I just got back from a wonderful four day hiking vacation in the Rocky Mountains and I wish I had more than one of this exact sock with me (although - I did wear it three days in a row and it they never smelt!). These are super comfortable and hold up excellently on long day hikes (we averaged 16 km a day for our hikes - not including exploring the mountain town afterwards!). They are soft, durable and even made my smelly feet ... not smelly - a true win! A big bonus is the amazing pattern! I highly recommend these for any of your hiking (or everyday) adventures #SmartwoolLove
Sometimes I want a shorter sock for warmer hikes when I'm wanting more air on my ankles. This sick fits the bill. They fit nicely. I wear a large for a size 11 shoe. The material is perfect for sweaty feet, like mine. It wicks away the stinky sweat and keeps my toes happy. I wear them everywhere and with any shoe.
These are my 10th pair of socks. Can't say enough about them. Where to start? The cushioning is terrific, they last long, they wick moisture, super comfortable, warm in the winter, just enough sock for long and short hikes. And I was pleasantly surprised that the packaging was all Earth friendly. (Except for the mailing package-there's gotta be a plastic free option for that, right?!?) I ask for Smartwool socks for Christmas. Enough said I think. So #sweepstakes or not, I highly recommend.
