Smartwool Women's Performance Hike Light Cushion Crew Socks - Fossil

I think these socks are great! I am trying to decide between getting more of them vs. two other well-known merino wool sock brands, and so far the smartwools are winning! They have stayed the warmest yet softest for the longest over 7 or 8 washings so far. Also I just keep wanting to only wear this pair of socks rather than my other winter sock choices. I am sort of looking for socks that are slightly thicker than these, like my ancient smartwool socks were, but so far these are my top replacement choice for them.

There are cheaper socks out there but I find these to be the best warm everyday socks for small feet because they come in sizes. I'm a uk 2.5. They aren't as bulky as true hiking socks but sufficiently warm, especially WFH . These haven't shrunk in wash including accidental 40-degree cotton wash - unlike like other similar price brands. Worn a couple times a week all winter and will last for years. Have bought in several colours and will be adding to my collection next winter. I wish there was less gray on the available colours but they are attractive colour combinations.

I bought these to wear while walking and playing outside with my son in the winter. They definitely kept my feet warmer than my normal cotton socks, but my pinky toes still went numb after only about 20 minutes outdoors. Could be a me issue, as I am typically cold but I was really hoping these socks would prevent my toes from going numb. I do still give 4 stars as they are very comfortable and keep most of my toes warm.
