I won't even lie, I used to be one of those people who say "a kettle is a kettle" but now I'm a Smeg believer. I received my kettle and toaster and they were absolutely worth every single penny.For home decor lovers, a Smeg kettle is both a kitchen appliance as well an accessory. The kettle complements my all-white kitchen really well. The quality is absolutely amazing and it works really fast.The packaging was fantastic, it was sealed in two boxes, and the inner box also had some extra protective material.All in all, I can not fault my experience.I'm looking forward to my next purchase where I will be getting the smeg blender.

I think this purchase was one of the best decision I have made in buying kitchen stuff. I took the red color which is beautiful and shiny. The toaster is a strong heater and does the job fast enough compared to my last one which took 4 minutes to make my bread brownish gold and crunchy.I saw in some reviews that people saying about the plastic smell while using it first time when I turn the toaster on after a few seconds I smell burning plastic too so I immediately turned it off and started searching for plastic materials inside the toaster and BUZZINGA! there were some plastic particles inside the slides which was placed while manufacturing. I removed them with a cutter and tweezers and no smell of burning plastic afterward at all.

After just returning a Kitchen Aid toaster that was extremely disappointing, I had high hopes that this SMEG toaster was the answer, sadly not. Whilst it felt sturdier and was definitely more pleasing to look at, that was where it ended. I immediately popped in two slices of bread from a standard size loaf, and guess what….. about 2cms stuck out of the top and subsequently remained un toasted!! I am baffled why companies that produce toasters do not take the time to check that an actual slice of bread fits. The only positive was that the bit that was toasted was done to perfection. Back to the drawing board and yet another return postage incurred.

SMEG appliances are outstanding for their workmanship, and this toaster looks beautiful on my kitchen bench top. The white colour is very easy to clean, leaves almost no finger smudges and as my bench top is also white, it blends in seamlessly for an uncluttered look. Love it. Would buy again. And bought one for my daughter when she moved into her new apartment as a house warming gift.
I have purchased a Pink SMEG toaster, because it would be rude not to buy something aesthetically pleasing to look at as well as functional to use, whilst in the kitchen. The slots are large enough for me to opt to either toast doorstep or medium sized bread, which is evenly toasted all over on both sides. The toast also maintains the heat, sufficiently well, which is good for me as I am a slow eater. The defrost button, toasts the bread evenly, as it is defrosts. There are nine browning settings to suit the fussiest of tastes.There is simplicity in the beautiful vintage design of this range and I shall now be purchasing the rest of the SMEG breakfast set as they are such refreshing colours to select from.
Bought a very luxurious toaster (yes luxurious!) via online order. The toaster arrived really quick and I have to say, I loooove my Smeg toaster. I bought it for my caravan....hold on...yes, I did! I had recently received a mini Smeg kettle as a gift (for the caravan) and wanted the matching toaster. So I used some gift cards that I had received over my last birthday and Christmas, and ended up getting the toaster for $49! I am so happy with the quality of the toaster and the service that I am very happy to write this review. At every stage, I received an email to let me know the status of my order. I would be very satisfied to have this experience again.
Does what it says in the tin. I still think it's a bit steep. You'd expect it to butter it as well for that price. Of course if you want too of the range, you have to pay the price. It's a good toaster overall. It has a nice clicky drawer, and high lift function is incredibly useful. Compared to cheaper toasters I'd say this is slightly more convenient and easy to use.
My Smeg black toaster looks the part. It's stylish and looks great on my benchtop. I purchased the toaster from Myers online which was easy and effortless. Great way to build my MyerOne points. The wide slots mean I can toast my favourite artisan breads that don't fit in a smaller toaster. It toasts the bread well. The toaster gets used many times on a daily basis and I have not had one single issue with it. Very happy there. It has a removable tray to clean out the crumbs. That works well. Overall its a sleek and modern appliance that looks the part.
Upgraded our long standing toaster for a Smeg. The stop button never worked and even on the lowest setting the toast would sometimes burn to a char. Final straw was when we were in the garden and daughter came down to find the whole house in smoke because one slice of bread had caught fire. Thankfully we were able to control the situation and put it out. It's now being sent back to JL having only had it a month. They refunded but this has put me off ever buying a Smeg product again.
The Smeg toaster seems toasts bread so perfectly, that it almost seems intelligent. The toast level control feels so precise and you quickly learn to “feel” its sensitivity. Not only am I very impressed with the performance of my Smeg toaster, the stunning red colour and the retro design of it sitting on the bench next to my Smeg kettle, the same beautiful bright red colour, is an instant eye-catcher to any visitor. The pair of Smegs sitting there are just pleasing to look at.
