Very disappointed with extremely thin stainless steel top (hob) - its a dull silver that looks like aluminium, nothing like the photos. Also the installer damaged the upright section as it the metal was so thin it collapsed with smallest force.Apart from that the oven is good, the door holding the glass looks a bit flimsy but doesnt rattle at least.The burner controls are logical and you have good choice of sizes.Unfortunately smeg still use a multi plug under the rear, left burner, so excessive use could make the part fail, so try not to over use that burner.The unit comes with 15amp plug but if your installer is an agent they can hard wire the connection (was told this could void the warranty but i called smeg and said it was fine to hardwire).

An average standard cooker. We dont understand why it took 3 delivery attempts and 3 weeks for installation. Mr sister in law bought a similar cooker from E&S Trading on 27th Dec and it was delivered and installed today (30 Dec). I think Good Guys need to do better. Cooker eventually worked correctly once the installers corrected the kinked gas pipe. This also took 3 calls to organise.

I am loving this oven. The white front looks amazing. The six burners are wonderful to have instead of the normal five. The burner knobs are very responsive and I can control the gas flame very well. The oven is impressive and the various cooking settings certainly provide choice. Cooking with this oven has been easy and fun again

We're really happy with our Smeg cooker. We researched, we spoke to many different suppliers of many brands and just as was described to us, the Smeg freestanding cooker is a versatile oven that roasts beautifully and very easy to clean. The gas cooktop give us plenty of space and lots of variety of heat intensity, excellent when cooking multiple dishes. Our local Good Guys oven specialist was extremely helpful and professional!
I’m with love with my SMEG hottie stove. It was love at first sight. It is so aesthetically pleasing, that it upgraded my kitchen! Then I turned it on. The door remained cool. My cakes baked evenly. But my litmus test was pork crackling and it was sensational for the first time in years. If we move, my stove is coming with us. Not sure about the husband.
I love the look and the performance. Quiet achiever. Even cooking temperature - we are getting to know each other through Christmas cake cooking - getting the hang of the timers and….. I can keep some trays ( not all) in the bottom drawer.
This is a replacement SMEG for my previous SMEG oven which was 12+ years old.Unfortunately, the saucepans wobble on top of the gas rings, I don't think they are all level. This is not great safety.There are several marks on the Wok oven ring top which I didn't notice at first but can only have come from manufacturing as they are not dirt, grease, impact etc.Apart from the ring mark, it looks great.We also had some installation issues (not SMEG problem) but these were immediately fixed by the fantastic SMEG service guy. I just wish I had noticed these issues before he visited.I also can't seem to change (reset) the clock despite following the User Manual. This could be linked to the original issue. I will need to have SMEG service people fix these issues.
Overall great product. Simple to use and delivers on the promise of being a quality oven.Only sticking point is the design of the stove top. The small simmer burner is in the front instead of diagonally opposite the wok burner which limits how you use it if using multiple burners (always a challenge anyway on a smaller unit).Meanwhile - Appliances Online continue to provide a 5star service!
Terrible oven for the price we paid, we had our first oven replace because it never heated up properly and the new oven had to have the door replaced because the door had dropped down and wasn’t opening. The glue had all come off of the glass and wasn’t attached properly. It is less than a year old and not heating properly.
Can you give negative stars? I bought this piece of junk just over 12 months ago and in 12 months have had thermocoupling replaced twice , heater elements and now less than 2 months after the last repair the oven and hot plate is not working again.. heater element I suspect and thermocoupling yet again..In fact when the repair man came, he said parts were missing on the door assembly.Don't bother wasting your time or money. I'm after a full refund or I'm going to court.
