SMITH MISSION MIPS ROUND FIT HELMET L / MIDNIGHT NAVY
Delivery $10

Comfortable helmet. I got a size bigger than needed in case I want to wear a beanie under the helmet. The helmet width is adjustable and can get tight enough if not wearing a beanie. I had the air flow vents closed when I started my skiing day and as it warmed up, I opened them for a little air flow. Love this feature.

Amazing helmet for the price. Fits really well. Took off ear pads and goggle holder though. Goggles fog with mask under though, unsure if helmet blocking vents or bad goggles.

I've skied with this helmet for few days now and I have to say, I'm very happy with my purchase. If there are any downsides, it would be the adjustment knob is tough to turn with gloves on, and if you want to clean the liner you have to manually move the adjustment wires. But those are minor gripes. It's very comfortable, and I don't even notice the chin strap. Initially I was concerned if it would keep my head warm enough but after starting a recent morning in zero degree weather, I wasn't the least bit cold. On warmer days, the adjustable vents easily slide open to let some air in and keep you comfortable. Best of all, the front rim aligns perfectly with Smith goggles.
Got it for my wife on sale. Fits great, easy adjusting with the dial in back. 2 things I’m disappointed about that aren’t huge but for &100+ helmet SHOULD be standard…1 magnetic chin buckle, 2. A helmet bag. Again, those little details make the purchase just a little bit better and will set you apart from others.
I got this helmet for a ski trip to CO. Style is great, MIPS is good, and the helmet is lightweight. HOWEVER, upon picking it up from REI, the LEFT ear cover seemed out of place (flared out). I just thought it was a strap tightening issue, so i didn't think it was a big deal, Especially because i was flying out the next day.Unfortunately the flared earpiece proved to be very annoying during the trip. My SMITH goggles kept getting caught on it when I'd move them from the brim of my helmet onto my face. I would compensate for the flare by tightening the strap to the point where it was uncomfortable. Upon inspection after our first day of skiing, i couldn't find out why it was doing that, so i just assumed it was a poor fit and carried on. I would compensate for the flare by tightening the strap to the point where it was uncomfortable. Upon inspection after our first day of skiing, i couldn't find out why it was doing that, so i just assumed it was a poor fit and carried on. This persisted for the remainder of our trip, and once i came home, i took a deeper look because i knew something was off.I found that a very thin plastic piece lodged deep in the ear pocket at the lowest position, which appears to have snapped off from somewhere. I don't know how this happened because when I flexed and bent the opposing (R) earpiece in every-way imaginable to compare, it just would not break. The plastic is very flexible and I'm sure that's one of the reasons they chose that material. This leads me to believe it was broken upon pickup. Now this helmet is used and I don't know how to fix this. This is the only reason why I'm not giving it 5 stars. For spending $130, I expected a very good helmet that will last me for years to come. This does not seem like the quality you'd expect from SMITH. I am attaching photos of both ear pieces and broken plastic piece as well as a video showing me over-flexing the R earpiece and it NOT breaking. I can imagine if this was not an issue i would LOVE this helmet. unfortunately that is not the case.
Helmet has good adjustments and can easily have the top vents open/close. However, the google clip doesn't entirely hold the google strap. There is just a short "hook" that can slip off the strap, allowing the googles to fall off completely. Smith needs to work on that!
Helmet fit great and was comfortable for trip. Only minor issue was even following instructions online, was unable to figure out how to insert speakers in side ear padding. Did not want to cut open. Did not have zipper like other models.
Absolutely LOVE this helmet! Bought because it has MIPS & ventilation, but the real pro is how comfortable it is. Keeps you warm but not too warm thanks to adjustable ventilation. Felt a bit stiff but better to be solid than loose. The dial adjustment also helps make the helmet even more snug. Fit exactly true to size, however if you have a thicker head of hair, then keep that in mind for an extra inch or 2 as well. I got a haircut and its perfect lol
Clip is kept on the strap by a tiny ,flimsy rubber band rather than the strap having a stop sewn at the end. Probably was done that way to cut costs. I can't think of why it would be fine this way as opposed to every other strap on every other pice of gear I own. After having fallen off a couple times, today it fell off again and I lost the clip. Now I effectively don't have a helmet. Ear pads are really uncomfortable and cannot be removed. I had a Giro at half the price that had removable ear pads.Looking back, I've been disappointed by one thing or another with every Smith product I've purchased-helmet, goggles, sunglasses. Ultimately, seems way overpriced for a low quality product.
