Got these goggles on sale, second pair.Came off the LEATT 6.5, those can’t even touch smith. The smith’s are lighter, better field of vision, scratch resistant and flexible on the face for a perfect fit.Would absolutely buy again. Would interested In trying the Rythm with the outriggers from smith. 10/10

Buy these goggles you won't be disappointed!!!

Solid pair of goggles, day 1 of wearing them and got multiple compliments.Chromapop really makes the difference with shadows and terrain changes. Low light lens also is top notch!I'm a sweaty dude and haven't had a problem with fogging up. Visibility is 10/10.

I've been using Smith goggles for 30 years or so and they've always worked well. The Squad XL is a nice bridge between "normal" goggle frames and hidden frames in size, features, and price. The design of the Squad frame makes lens changes easier than years past, but the ears on the ends need a bit of twisting to remove and install, hence the 4 vs. 5 stars. I wound up picking up a second pair on closeout to give me a pair for bright sun and another for flat light, and I'm still under the price for a top-end magnetic lens goggle.

Good fit. Good quality.

Cant go wrong with these if you have a bigger head. I have 2 sets. The blue frame and strap and the DDC collab versions. Both came with a dark and low light lense. They fit well with my giro helmet and the blues match my union bindings and volcom pants.Replacement lenses are fairly priced on the smith website.Dont wipe the inside of your goggles when their wet. It messes the anti-fog up.

Great with glasses!
2 January 2024

I wear eyeglasses and I've been using this for winter commuting. I had to switch to a narrower pair of glasses (a spare pair I had) because it was a little too tight, but with the right pair it avoids fogging up my glasses and keeps my face warm. I've worn these even when riding at dawn — it doesn't reduce the amount of light, it just gives everything more contrast. It's literally a rose-tinted lens, but it makes a big difference. I sometimes wear it when I'm driving my car (yes, I look like a HUGE dork) because it helps with glare and coping with poor contrast on gray winter days.

High quality, great value MTB goggles.
11 November 2021

My previous pair of Smith Fuel V.2 goggles did their job well. To my standards. They kept dust, dirt, wind, and even sweat from getting into my eyes. However, I had found over the years that these goggles would sometimes feel small on my face. It felt like the eyewear I used for riding could be more beneficial. So after careful consideration of looking at other brands, I settled on the Smith Squad XL Rocky Mountain Raceface team edition goggles. Another big reason I chose Smith was their pricing isn't absurdly expensive like some goggles out there. I'm paying less and getting just as good of quality, if not better performing goggles. These will be the first and last pair of mtb goggles I will ever be purchase. And maybe not the last time I'll be purchasing Smith ... MoreMy previous pair of Smith Fuel V.2 goggles did their job well. To my standards. I have a TLD Stage and a TLD A2 helmet, and they both fit well, even though they're not smith lids. I will most likely be waiting till next summer to give the Rose/Chromapop lens a test. As our sunny days here in the Okanagan valley is over. Overall I'd highly recommend taking a look at these!

Pairs well with Smith helmet, love the strap options
21 November 2023

I bought these for my girl; I run the same pair too. Lover the interchangeability. i keep 3-4 lenses on me for resort trips and these are nice. Quick to change, full face coverage and virtually no gaps for snow when paired with the right helmet (I use a Level and she uses a Liberty for this). With a lens for every condition, you'll have in these a set of goggles for life.

Perfect Mid-Tier Goggle - Goldilocks Price, High-End Clarity
23 February 2023

These are excellent goggles for the money - they occupy that sweet spot between 'normal' everyday goggles and wickedly expensive top-tier offerings with all the bells and whistles. They're clear, don't fog, and the ChromaPop lenses offer great contrast. Biggest benefit is getting a bright sunlight lens and another lens to deal with flat and low light conditions. One star off for being a bit of a pain to swap the lenses - the 'fingers' that hold them in place at the back require a fair amount of twisting force to lock in and I'm afraid I'm going to pop the inner lens loose if I push too hard on them. They interface perfectly with my Maze helmet, which I expect when helmet and goggle are from the same company.

Perfect fit and great looking!
2 February 2024

These are nice and comfortable. Good ventilation, the clarity was excellent, fast shipping, and look nice as well. I would definitely recommend if your looking for a decent not to expensive pair of goggles. Match the smith helmet I bought very well also. I will definitely buy from this company again in the future :)

Simple bike solution
7 November 2023

I've started bringing goggles on enduro rides as well as bike park laps and love the lightwieght Squad. There's less foam blocking airflow vs the snow models and the clear lens is best for dark forest trails. Like all Smith frames, these ones are flexible and easily packable without damaging them in my dirty hip pack...
