Smiths Crisps Crinkle Cut SALT/VINEGAR 170gm

What a crowd pleaser, the thing to bring to a gathering when you’re told to not bring a thing, and we personally always have a packet in the pantry for those unexpected guests. Salt and vinegar are my personal fave. The salt and vinegar ratio is mouth watering and never disappoints! Thank you influenster for giving me the opportunity to review our favourite brand snack chips.

Salt and vinegar is a flavour that will leave your mouth watering. It has a well balanced combination of both salt and vinegar to ensure it’s delicious but not overpowering. This is a must for all events you host with even the little ones loving it. Must try!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion. ] These are the OG Salt & Vinegar chips, to me. They take me back to birthday parties from childhood all the way up to adulthood. It wasn’t a party without a packet of Salt & Vinegar crinkle cut. Unfortunately, they have changed over the years, to their detriment. Firstly, they aren’t ad “vinegary” as they once were, but a tamer version that really doesn’t hit the same as it used to, sadly. Secondly, they have been put through the “Shrinkflation” machine, reduced in size by at *least* 30g less over the past few years, but not in price. In fact, I believe they used to be 250g, but if not, they were definitely 200g. That’s not cool.

I am a Cheese and Onion, Chicken or Original fan. I was never partial to Salt and Vinegar or BBQ in my younger years but as time went on (like it does!) I grew to love Salt and Vinegar. I was always one to drown my hot chips in Vinegar though! BBQ is nice, if they're there but they are not a variety I am drawn to. Packets of chips are great for a snack around friends right before a bbq or event however, these bags are not really enough for that and I find myself alone chomping through one all to myself! They are totally more-ish! The amount of seasoning on these crisps is great, every crisp is well coated but not saturated. The flavours are balanced very well of a nice tangy malt vinegar and sea salt. The crinkles seem to hold more flavour than the thin cut crisps of the same brand.

I can’t really felt them my only complaint is the vinegar, makes your mouth hurt eventually and then it’s hard to eat more of them  but its the price I pay for a dang good chip. Love the favour. [This review was collected as part of a promotion. ] In my opinion, I’ve never really been a salt and vinegar fan. When I tried this flavour, it didn’t really taste good. I expected it to be just a little bit salty and a bit of vinegar but instead, it was REALLY salty! I don’t really recommend this if you’re looking for a more softer tasting chips rather than really strong flavoured chips. Flavours like barbecue, original, cheese and onion or chicken are a lot better than salt and vinegar. Personally, I don’t really recommend this chip flavour.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion. ] What surprised me first is the amount of crisps inside the packet. Personally I prefer the thin crisps than crinkle cut potatoes but they still taste great. The only star off is that there is an aftertaste of oil. I know it's cooked in oil but this aftertaste wasn't present in the barbeque flavor.

Perfectly crisp with a well balanced salty yet tangy seasoning, these are a real crowd pleaser.
