Tasted kind of weird so I gave it to my cat. The cat liked it. It's very hard introducing new foods to cats as I'm sure you'll see in many other reviews of the Smitten with real beef (and a bit of chicken and some turkey). They sit there and give you this look. What's this stuff you've given me it's not what I had yesterday? After a few minutes of thinking they dived in and ate it all up. No complaints. Smell was fine. It's a good price so I will try it again and see what they think.

Pleasantly surprised. My cats were very happy with this food. I have three one of them is a very very fussy eater not at all food driven and will only eat two brands Ive ever tried. All three loved this food! Usually they leave some then go back later but they each finished their dishes. The tin was packed with the minced food and not swimming in gravy. I didn't have high expectations but I was pleasantly surprised and will definitely purchase this again.

Technically I didn't try it..... but it all went! So I picked up this Bunch Sample not because I have a cat but there are a number of neighbourhood cats. They are kind of fussy eaters in some context because the food that is left out for them by the various people in our block you can see what they do and do not eat. So I accepted the Bunch cracked open the easy-pull tab can dumped out the contents (it was VERY solid and gluggy) into a container and left it out for them to hopefully enjoy. It was like the colour of cooked mince and actually smelt like braised/stewed mince probably if they had used ingredients suitable for human consumption I'm sure it probably would have tasted alright. In any case I came back to check how it did and well the container had been ... MoreTechnically I didn't try it..... but it all went! No evidence of any left inside nor had it seemed like they spilled it along the way of dragging it away. I think thats a reasonable endorsement but then again hungry neighbourhood cats and meat..... well they didn't find it suspicious either so it must have tantalised their tastebuds enough!

Formula must have changed in the last two years. We had given up ever buying the WW own cat food tins as after our cats (including one feral cat who adopted us & NEVER turned his nose up at anything - until WW tins) would not eat them and neither would the crows nor Magpies who normally got the scrapings from the cats' plates. Trying the sample tin saw some improvement with our ex-Feral cat now eating it a little slowly compared with the normal assortment but did eat it. Our other cat had not changed her view and neither had the Magpies nor the Crows. I don't know what it is about WW's cat food tins but compared to other store brands and name brands - there is some clear difference. Does any of the contents come from China?

Kitten won’t touch smitten. Bringing a new kitten home for the first time I grabbed this as I really didn’t have any preference or knowledge on what to get. It was eaten the first time. Next trip I bought a different brand because there was no smitten on the shelf even tho the app said the store had stock(2nd store I tried) and staff had no intention of helping and now the kitten won’t touch smitten after trying the other brand. There is also only 1 variant for kittens in a can form. So yes cheaper and a good price but too hard to find stock and obviously the taste isn’t that great. I’d try another flavour but there isn’t one in the can.

Chunky with gravy. My cats seemed to enjoy this as it was quite different from their normal food. No smell which I loved but the tin was huge for my 2 little cats and would feed them for at least 3 days they also have dry food. Would be handy if it came with a lid seems its not a single serve. My little boy has stomach issues with most foods and was surprised he didn't have any issues which is a big plus. Easy to find in the shop although the different flavours were all mixed together so had to look for the beef flavour.

My kitten is totally smitten with the Smitten cat food. My kitten grew up with the smitten kitten food range. He loves the canned food and the dry food smitten kitten biscuits. He loves smitten out of every kitten or cat food there is available on the market. He gives it a 5 ☆☆☆☆☆ and 5 paw rating and 5 meows rating. He can smell the smitten kitten food from a mile away and the meowing doesn't stop until he gets his smitten. Smitten is made in Australia and has essential vitamins and minerals and Omega 6 for healthy skin and coat. It also has added taurine for healthy eyes and heart. It has calcium and phosphorous for strong teeth and bones and Vitamin E to help support the immune system and natural fibre for a healthy digestive system. The smitten kitten food is packaged well and is easy to find down the pet food aisle. It's great value for money and 1 can lasts my cat from upto 3 to 5 days as he gets 2 dry meals a day as well as the smitten kitten wet food in the tin. You can see that my kitten has grown heaps from smitten and has a healthy coat and healthy eyes and cute pink ears and paws and nose.

Cats liked it. I have had mixed experiences with Smitten cat food in the past. This occasion giving my cats the Chicken variety was a good one. They ate it with no fussiness. The food didn't smell (which I have found in the past to be disgusting) and they liked the texture. I thought the food got gluggier the deeper I delved into the can with most of the gravy sitting on top of the product. I find most brands of tinned cat food to be inconsistent with their quality. Until the pet food industry comes under the same scrutiny and food safety standards of human food pet owners will always have to deal with fussy cat's. It's not the cat's fault they like a particular brand one day and turn their noses up at the same brand new tin the next day. As pet owners we cannot ... MoreCats liked it. The cat ate it! How do you review cat food? It's not like we taste it or eat it. It's up to the cat to decide whether it's any good and we all know how finicky they can be. Our cat has always been a fussy eater and has only eaten Whiskas mince tin food for all of her life of over 13 years. We recently started feeding her tin tune in brine as well and she has taken a liking to that. When I got the Woolworths brand Smitten Chicken with real mince it was a toss up whether our cat would eat it. It looked OK when I opened the tin full of mince and adequate amounts of gravy too. Our cat was hesitant at first but she did eat the Smitten product! Small wonders never cease! It was obvious that it was not her favorite. She often left it in the bowl for extended periods and ate up whatever else was available. And I noticed that the Smitten food turned a darker color rather quickly as it sat in the bowl. It's definitely cheaper than the food we have been feeding our cat. If we were raising her as a kitten I wouldn't hesitate to start her out on this food and get her accustomed to it.
