To the good people at Snooza,I am sorry to report that our beloved beagle, Bella, tragically passed away the night before the snooza bed arrived. The bed is still packed in the box.So, my husband who is a bus driver, suggested that Bella and I meet him on his meal break at the usual place we have on previous occasions. I got there first and took Bella for a walk. While walking I came across what looked like cake strewn on the side of the footpath. Bella was too quick and picked some of the cake up and ate it. We shortly caught up with hubby and we all gathered on the bus for his break. About half an hour later he took her for a walk down to the toilets and afterwards found that she slowed right down couldn't walk any further, so he picked her up and carried her ... MoreTo the good people at Snooza,I am sorry to report that our beloved beagle, Bella, tragically passed away the night before the snooza bed arrived. He had to continue with his run and I raced to the vets. I dropped her off, gave a hug, went home, shortly after the vet rang and said she passed away peacefully. It all happened within the space of approx. 2 hours.We since find out that it probably was xylitol, an artificial sweetener, which is fatal to dogs. The only consolation is that she didn't suffer. If this was on purpose, then there are some nasty humans out there, but we may never know.We are still grieving at our loss, but have decided to keep the bed if and when we are ready for another beagle.
