I love this product! With it being the winter months , my skin tends to get very dry and itchy . I was stoked to try this in shower lotion . I love the consistency of this , it's thick , and silky just like lotion . I use it on my legs and rinse off before shaving for a softer and closer shave . I also use this all over while I'm in the shower . What's great about this is when you rinse it off , you still feel the softness on your skin even after the shower and it actually makes you feel cleaner . Another plus is the scent , a lightly fruity grapefruit scent that's not overbearing or fake smelling . What a great product, this is my go to for a before shave moisturizer. I am very happy with this and I would highly recommend.... Show more

Cleansing balms are all the rage, so I decided to give it a go with a brand I trust - Soap Glory (seriously, their products are fantastic). This has so many skin goodies and the price is great at $14 and good-sized. This is applied to dry skin with dry hands. It had the solid look of my brush cleansers (I don’t like brush shampoo, different story there) but it’s not solid and it really takes very little product to use. It’s good for makeup removal. You massage it in a bit and activate it with a bit of water (I used my automated facial brush to really disperse the product once wet) and then do a full rinse with warm water to fully remove. My skin felt great afterwards, clean hydrated. I’m into cleansing balms now, so thanks Soap Glory (again)!... Show more

I’m a huge fan of cleansing balms and I surely was excited to try this. Upon opening the white lid for the first time, what I found inside the jar looked more like congealed candle wax than the creamy cleansing balms we usually see. But as soon as I started massaging the unscented salve onto my pre-cleansed dry face, it emulsified into a smooth oil-like texture that magically melted away my my makeup without irritating my skin in anyway. When I added water, the consistency transformed yet again — this time into a milk that rinsed away to leave my skin soft, clean, and dewy, thanks to the nourishing blend of oils. After using it, my typically normal to dry skin feels clean, but super soft, and pillowy. Instead of stripping my skin's hydration, it markedly ... Amazing!!!
I mostly purchased this as a gentle cleanser for when my skin feels extra sensitive, and I do love it for that. But I wanted to wait to write a review until I tested it as a makeup remover too. I rarely wear any makeup at all (like, maybe 3 times a year) but I was playing with makeup for my Halloween costume and tested this cleansing balm afterward. I had dark eye makeup caked around my eyes and waterproof mascara and eyeliner. This stuff worked like MAGIC. I’ve used many other makeup removers in my time (I used to model and act and that comes with the territory) and this is by far the best. I didn’t have to use cotton balls or pads or scrub my face really hard or anything - just massaged the balm into my skin with my hands. My skin didn’t get raw, didn’t feel ... Awesome Product!
What an amazing cleansing balm at such an incredible price! I've tried and loved various other balms and oil cleansers for my make up removal step in a double cleanse and sometimes you really need to work hard to get the make-up off. But not with this one! It melts the make-up away with very little effort, doesn't sting my sensitive eyes yet still removes all my mascara plus it washes off easily. My face feels soft and clean after use and doesn't have any strange or uncomfortable residue. And how can you beat that price?! It's an absolute bargain! Will definitely buy again and I think this will easily become my staple first step in my routine at the end of the day.... Show more

Best value in the market
I’ve been auditioning new balm cleaners as the format really works for my combination/aging skin. Having been a devotee of Eve Lom for years, I was beginning to find the cost prohibitive for twice daily use. Resultant, I’ve been experimenting with the various cleansing balms on the market and gave this one a spin - it’s highly effective. My makeup melts off with minimal rubbing, and emulsification is pretty much immediate. It’s got a luxe feel, and doesn’t leave an oily residue nor log my large-ish pores. The scent is negligible, unlike Eve Lom, and the cost, at $19 is amazing value - there’s a lot of product in the container and you really don’t need to use much to get the job done. I’ve been able to dispense with the muslin cloths to remove the product (eg Eve ... MoreI’ve been auditioning new balm cleaners as the format really works for my combination/aging skin. I like to switch things around fairly regularly with my skincare but can see this balm being a staple in my routine.... Show more

Good for the price
I have been using this cleansing balm for the last two weeks and I finally have some coherent thoughts. I am not a fan of expensive oil or balm cleansers, so when this balm showed up on Mecca, I was intrigued. First off, I am very happy that this is not a fragranced skincare product and thus does irritate my sensitive skin which is happy to get hot, red and itchy any chance it gets. As the name suggests, this is indeed a nourishing cleansing balm. I have a difficult time washing it off completely with warm water and therefore need two rounds of my second cleanse. If you are loyal to the Farmacy cleansing balms, this is not a product for you. On the plus side, when I AM finally done washing this off, my skin does feel incredibly smooth and soft. I am not sure that there is any other product in this category at a similar price that does this so I am okay to keep using it. I think there are other cleansers on the market that remove makeup easier, but this is good for the price. Lastly, you need very little of it (half of a cherry tomato? sorry!) to get the job done, and I really go heavy on mascara. If my other favourites will be out of stock, I will happily repurchase this product.... Show more

Lightweight, effortless cleansing
I have tried a lot of balms from low end to high end and I must say that this is probably the best one I have used. The consistency is balm, but very lightweight texture and turns to a very light oil on contact with skin. I have combination oily skin and it's not overbearing and doesn't cause any skin breakouts.I just can't get over the difference in texture compared to other balms, it's very good and seems effortless and quicker. Not waxy, not heavy. I rinse off using a make up remover cloth and I sometimes don't bother with a second cleanse as it leaves no residue. I'm not left feeling greasy. Love this and will probably stick with it. Removes my eye make up without stinging or running into my eyes.... Show more

Really effective product
I received this for Christmas and have been using it every day since. It has a lovely texture making it easy to apply (a little goes a long way) and removes makeup extremely well. It leaves my skin clean and soft afterwards and it’s great it can be used on the eyes. The product is unscented which may be a good or bad thing depending on your preference. The price seems reasonable for the size and it seems likely to last a good while. I will definitely keep using it and replace it when it runs out.... Show more

Worth every cent!
i bought this a few weeks ago and let me tell you it is a game-changer. I didn't want to pay a ridiculous price for a product that would do the same as something like this would, but also I've tried so many things at this price point and they weren't able to break down my waterproof mascara. This could. My skin is brighter and was literally glowing even after the first use. I always double-cleanse, so I haven't had issues with any leftover oiliness like some of the other reviews mention. I always have a couple of allergies, the one I was most worried about being perfume. I had absolutely no issues.Love, love, LOVE this product!... Show more
