When SodaStream first came out many years ago I tried a low priced model from Walmart that did a poor job, exchanging cylinders was a hassle, so I switched back to buying bottles. After recently re-examining the available carbonators from different manufacturers along with cylinder exchange options, I decided to give SodaStream another try and bought the Art model direct from SodaStream. I love the Soda Stream Art and it’s design as it looks really swish on my kitchen diner work surface and a real Hit with the children, my only gripe is that I ordered it at the early part of December for my Christmas holidays but didn’t receive till the new year which was really really annoying as it arrived after the festivities which was partly the reason why I ordered it in the first place with a large quantity of flavours, to add insult to injury the customer services department did apologise for this and offered me a £10 discount on my next purchase of gas!!! Cheeky I thought as I hadn’t even received my first order, I Just laughed and thought really!!! So sorry for moaning but it really did spoil my Soda Stream experience and ruined the excitement of it all. I left a four star review for the soda stream itself not for my customers service and experience, that got no stars as did the delivery as the company just left the heavy box on the door step and my wife hurt her back trying to get it in the house as I wasn’t in and the text I was promised informing of an impending delivery was never received. The Art has a cool design and the black/stainless color combo matches my other appliances well. I keep it in my dining room so that I can easily serve beverages after dinner parties. It looks very nice on display. The Art was super easy to assemble and get going. The pinki canister inserts easily into the back and the bottle inserts easily into the front. The only thing that took a little time was that I needed to chill the water before using it for the first time because the directions say cold water bubbles better. It’s super simple to set up it’s bigger than I expected so that’s a bit of a bummer more tall than wide but still it takes up some real estate on the counter. I do love though that I don’t need batteries or a cord to utilize this product that is amazing so I can just put it in the far corner of the counter without having to worry about cords or anything like that.
