I puchased this product specifically because I can't stand the taste of aspartame, sucralose and stevia, only to get a nasty shock. I don't understand how Pepsi (now the owner of Sodastream) can get away with passing this product off as normal Pepsi. Shame on you, Pepsi.

The machine itself is good and makes great bubbly water, but I am quite disappointed with the Pepsi syrup. It doesn't taste good at all, really bad aftertaste and makes you want to pour it out instead of enjoying your Pepsi. 5 star machine, 1 star for the bad Pepsi syrup. Unfortunately the Pepsi syrup was the main reason for buying this product.

I was excited to try this but after adding the syrup to the fizzy water, the taste just isn't the same. I don't know if it's the sucralose in it or something else that's added to it but has a horrible after taste. The Sodastream Cola has the same after taste as well. The Black Cherry and Lemon Lime flavours do not have the nasty after taste for some reason. Please fix the taste of the Pepsi!
It has sweeteners in it, and Pepsi doesn't. There are other varieties of Pepsi like Diet and Max that have sweetener in them for those that want that, so why ruin the Regular one with them.Changing the proportions does not help, it is either too sweet when it has enough flavour or too watery when it is the right sweetness.I like Pepsi, but I don't like this or Pepsi Max or Diet Pepsi. People who like this would probably be just as happy with Pepsi Max, why ruin this for those that don't?
As one of the unlucky people who is left with an awful aftertaste with any sweetener, Pepsi is one of the few drinks I can still enjoy, so I was glad to see this. A way to save a little money and have a glass occasionally without having to pay through the nose for the cans. Imagine my disappointment on my first glass, being left with that dreadful taste I find so very hard to get rid of. I never thought to check the ingredients as Pepsi has always been 'safe' to drink but it has sucralose and acesulfame k. Very disappointed and a waste of money.

Unfortunately, it does not taste anything like Pepsi. There is a very distinctive after taste, which may be the sweeteners used. The bite on the back is very medicine-like which we know the bottled version of Pepsi does not have. I tried with the recommended serving, and I also cut it back. Unfortunately, the aftertaste is still very much present. I am a big fan of the SodaStream product and I am a Pepsi drinker, my hope for a winning product may have been slightly elevated.With all that said, if you took the 'Pepsi' branding off the label, you would be left with a decent cola product. I got this expecting a normal Pepsi taste but was very disappointed. Avoid if you can’t stand the taste of sweeteners. I’ll probably toss the bottle after a single glass if I can’t find anyone who doesn’t mind it.
while it is not 100% Pepsi (not as sweet) I feel you could tweek the syrup amount to get the levels right, I personally prefer the less sweetness and still get the pepsi taste. Much better than the "cola" flavour. I hope they get a Dr Pepper one! Dr Pete was not my favorite and I am a Dr Pepper lover. A diet Dr Pepper would be awesome! But all in all I give it 4 stars as it is pretty darn close
