After a scary bump found under my arm last year, I switched to aluminum free deodorant and have been trying out some different ones. This one goes on so smoothly and is really easy to apply and use. For me deodorant was deodorant, a decent drug store one would do it’s job. It was nothing special. After trying out the Bum Bum cream I was addicted to this wonderful scent. So I decided to try other products. Ordered the deodorant and wow was it different from others. First the smell, it just makes you happy and feels like summer. Then add the ease of application and the way it glides on you skin and makes them feel moisturized. It also works to stop any smells. Perfect in every way. I already ordered two more for backups and gave one to my daughter who is also obsessed with Sol De Janeiro. I like wearing the whole product line and hope you eventually come out in deodorant for the other scents.

Lots of people are claiming it makes them smell worse and doesn't last long, well first and foremost you need to give your body time to adjust to "aluminum-free" deodorant. Most deodorants contain aluminum which is why it lasts longer and keeps you fresh longer, but aluminum also contributes to dark underarms and clogging of the pores. Rio Deo deodorant does NOT contain aluminum, so it will not last long and you will get BO more frequently compared to other deodorants because your body has not adjusted to it yet, give it at least two weeks before you come to your conclusion that this deodorant isn't for you. My skin frequently disagrees with almost every single deodorant I've ever used, anything with aluminum or baking-soda makes me itch terribly, and I've never finished an entire stick of any one deodorant before the itching became unbearable and I'd have to switch. I was rather hesitant to try this one for two reasons, the price, and because I was a little skeptical that a "lotion company" could do a descent deodorant, but I am so very glad I gave it a shot. I LOVE this new reformulation of Sol De Janeiro's deodorant, because I can use it without breaking out! BEST of all, it doesn't have aluminum nor baking soda in it! It's even safe to swipe under my bewbies, without causing irritation nor itching! It's rare to find a deodorant that can be used in the most sensitive areas, without causing irritation.
