I read the reviews of the site after ordering my SSL SiX and they were horrible, leaving me scared about my order. I received what i ordered, brand new, on time, with no problems!!! Now about the SSL... its an SSL, we al know what to expect. I replaced my mackie pro mixer with this. Its everything I thought it'll be and more.

Utterly blown away. Immediately got incredible signature sound for my radio voiceover. The combo of the mic compression with a bit if wq and the bus compressor is suuuuper clean without being sterile. Dead quiet, tight and can sound warm as well. Headphone amp is adequately loud amd super clean. And for the price? Don't hesitate. Just grab one.

SSL SIX is..in one word..amazing. Just had a few sessions with it and the warmth this guy brings compared to what i was recording on (DBX 286) is over a 1000 times better...dare i say over 9000. my only gripe, even though its a small one, you have to buy tons of wires to fully connect this bad boi up.Also you better connect it up first try because taking this thing out and connecting wires is a pain in the region opposite your head. That being said i'm glad i got this baby.

Is the sauce I've been looking for easy to use once you get the hang really impressed with analog sum I really recommend for someone whose trying to expand their way of mixing.
Major thanks to Aric, My direct sales guy for over 7 years now. Thanks to Aric, it was maybe 23 hours between when I ordered the SSL SIX and when I was plugging cables into it. Now that the SSL SIX is set up with my UA Apollo, I feel like I have the ultimate home studio for my production. No longer do I have to run an SSL "plugin" on my inserts since my sounds are going through a REAL SSL now. The sound coming out of this mixer is everything you read about in the reviews LOL. I kid you not, there is a real difference between the SSL SIX and the others. If you were on the fence or hesitant, go ahead and pull the trigger. You will not regret it.
Such a quality mixer with so many different functions and features. Very powerful and gives such a nice warmth to your mixes. Always love buying any expensive equipment from this company as it’s always well packaged and arrives very quick!
SSL has created a small but very powerful analog masterpiece. Have only had it a few days, yet it has yielded some incredibly detailed and compelling final mixes on several songs I was working on. The final stereo mix was done on six's channels one and two then a/d into protools using ssl2 for bouncing mp3s. I used the channel eqs for slight bumps on highs and lows then into the g bus compressor. Compared to the emulated software version of ssl gear the analog version rules hands down. 3dB of compression and a bit more make up (5dB) gain and there it is - that's the sound I have been chasing in my studio for years. It has depth and width very 3 dimensional. The meters rock.
