The Sonos Playbar is an amazing soundbar. We have our soundbar paired with the subwoofer, two Sonos One Speakers and a Sonos Move Speaker. The sound quality is unbeatable in my opinion. Although it was a fairly expensive setup, I know that I will have this entertainment system for many years to come. Not only is the sound impeccable, the design of the Sonos products is amazing! I love that I can pair all of my units and play them from room to room. We will be Sonos customers for life!

Purchased this as a replacement for a Sonos playbar. I would say the sound is better overall, but it is very dependant upon the sound source. Watching Dolby Atmos movies or series on Netflix for example, the sound is amazing and much improved on the Playbar or other soundbar I have listened to. However for lesser sources, 5.1 or below, I would say it's comparible to any other good quality sound bar you can buy. Recommendation is that you consider what you are listening to, if it's Atmos then this soundbar is great.

When we bought a Tv for our Lanai we were really excited! Not for long. The Tv sound was annoying. We did some research and talked to our stereo guys Control 4. They recommended the Sonos Soundbar. We couldn’t have made a better selection. The soundbar and subwolfer together has made the sound coming from Tv a 100% improvement! No more missing depth or substance in the sound.

The Sonos Playbar is an amazing soundbar. We have our soundbar paired with the subwoofer, two Sonos One Speakers and a Sonos Move Speaker. The sound quality is unbeatable in my opinion. This SONOS PLAYBAR has a simple but very cool and elegant design with black and grey combination. Easy to set up via the Sonos app and use it with your TV remote. I had a little difficulty in the beginning but once I updated the app, everything is easy to follow through. Sound quality is phenomenal and realistic. Price tag is kinda high but it worths that price. I’m looking into Sonos Arc next which has even more cool features.

Anyone who criticizes the price of these items, might also criticize Festool for selling a miter saw for almost $1500. The saw is virtually dustless, just as the soundbar/subwoofer is virtually flawless. Value is a very personal thing. For me Sonos has satisfied my requisites for a very pleasurable listening experience. The system is highly recommended.

I purchased this before doing my due diligence and went with the recommendation of my son. My biggest issue is that there is not a remote control to control the volume, and it does not have bluetooth. I have to connect via WiFi, however, I live in a relatively rural area with very slow LTE internet and spotty service, so its not very user friendly for me. I have connected Alexa to this, so as to assist with volume control, but it doesnt work very well, Ive also tried to program my DIRECTV RF remote to it, but no luck on that. Really disappointing for such a pricey item!

The first one is that the only way to play to use the playbar is via the APP. As stated above, is the app is great to sync speakers together and to install, it's absolutely terrible for all the rest. I did skim the previous reviews and from what I read, it seems like the App used to be quite something many moons back but did detoriate seriously in the meantime. If you want to, say, use the playbar to play music, you'll realize that the Sonos app is at best a very bad music player compared to the real good apps to play music that we do have on the market at the moment. How come is that? - Also, there's really no way around the app; there's just no bluetooth on the device, which is a bit flabbergasting when you consider that there are some solid competitions around the block who offer that. That means that 1) for any other use, you gotta use the SONOS app which is terrible at playing things and that 2) you're stuck with that "digital mini jail"; without the app, that beautiful and pricy playbar is completely useless. Despite the solid design and the very good sound, I consider that the whole experience is then a bit disappointing and to be honest, there's then many better options over there, like the SONY or the BOSE playbars who offer as well stunning designs and a sound that's comparable (perhaps slightly better but not significantly) BUT where you're not stuck at using a poor playing app if you don't like it (Bose for example makes a better playing app albeit not as friendly to install and if you don't like it, there's the bluetooth option). Do I recommand? Well, if you're sold to SONOS and that your whole house is SONOS based, perhaps it's worth it, otherwise, you have way better options for the same price here.

The sound is so good paired with my Sonos sub woofer and rear surround sound speakers that it honestly feels like I am watching a movie in an actual movie theater. It also has tremendous sound power and volume if you need it. I really haven't turned the system up to 100 yet, but even at level 50 it is as loud as any movie theater and it will rock your house. It also looks great too. it is pretty small and slim and doesn't take up a lot of space and it looks very nice sitting on your entertainment cabinet under your big screen TV. It has less of a boxy look than most other sound bars and is a bit more streamlined than other soundbars. It is also very easy to set up and to use. Pretty much just plug and play. And that is coming from a guy who is not good with technology. One caution on this product is that some satellite and cable provider systems don't seem to like or play well with this unit from a remote control perspective. I had Direct TV and set up my Direct TV remote to control the Sonos Sound system and it worked initially but after a little while the DTV remote just stopped controlling the Sonos. I had to keep reprogramming the DTV remote over and over and ithe problem just kept coming back. My Geek Squad guy told me that this sometimes happens because some cable or satellite remotes only have general product programming codes for some sound or TV products and thus their remotes don't tend to pair well with those products. He suggested getting a more advanced all in one remote like a Harmony or something, but I switched providers to Comcast and so far this problem went away and the Comcast voice remote is working great with the controlling the Sonos sound system. This is a great sound bar. It is expensive, but it is great.
