I was going to buy A Rode NT1 but took a chance on this UK Mic. So glad I did, it is truly is the best cardioid mic under the $500 price point and probably even as good if not better than mics 3 times the price.

It is my first professional level recording equipment and I am more than happy with it. Scarlett not only works perfect as a recording device but I also use it to play music (with enhanced quality and volume). Microphone as well does amazing job. No noise is noticeable however I leave next to the main road so it sometimes catches cars, ambulance etc. but that's I think more + than -. It shows how amazing this mic is - just I need more quiet environment when recording haha! :)

As with the recorder l bought from Anderton’s, much helpful pre-purchase sales advice from the Anderton’s sales team regarding the STC-20 microphones they speedily consigned. I also had considerable help from the microphone manufacturer, Sontronics.Limited funds made careful research essential prior to purchase and both the above gave me assurances regarding microphone suitability and performance capabilities to suit my particular needs - most helpful.I would not hesitate to use Anderton’s goods, service or advice for similar purchases in the future.Eric Payne.

Sounds great, but the whole rig is heavy. You might want to take a long hard look at your stand. It might be age, but mine sags a bit under the load.
Its a briliant company and good service .
